Whatsername868 Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 I just watched it!! I couldn't get myself to wake up at 8:30 so I recorded it on a tape...my god I wish I had been there. Green Day+NYC would hands down give me the best day of my life.I <3 Tre GMA sucks for cutting "She" off...that's one of my favorite songs! Ugh. And for not even showing the other songs they played.
Anja Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 I uploaded them all to my photobucket since GDA is down.http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v320/fas...ay%2022%202009/Thank you, Courtney! Those pics are just great
Samantha Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 I was most impressed with the hubby today actually - the alarm went off and he hit snooze. We got up at 4:20 and we caught the 5 am ferry AND had time to get shitty coffee from the little store on the SI side. He must've gotten us there in record time, lol. It took about 9 minutes from here. Those pics are beautiful - it was that we were outdoors I think. It was such a beautiful morning, and the weather was absolutely perfect. The coffee at that random bakery on the Manhattan side is delish, but I'm sure you were running to get the train Holy shit were you running red lights or something ?! I guess that early there's no traffic on Victory. (I dunno if thats even the way you go)
*withoutadoubt* Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 I like this picture...http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v320/fas...200923957PM.jpgI uploaded them all to my photobucket since GDA is down.http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v320/fas...ay%2022%202009/Thanks for uploading Courtney! I was wondering what he was drinking at that time of the morning, lol. Maybe it's a root beer? He could be a taxi driver if he so desired, haha.

Angela. Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 LOL @ the terrible censorship skills. And I find it VERY funny that the crowd was chanting 'Fuck the weather' at one point. Does anyone have a video of that? I'm dying to hear/see it.

Angela. Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 i have the audio of it, ill upload it in a sec.Thank you! You just made my day. (And Tre' as well, thanks to the TP ballerina/dancing incident. )
Nimrod99 Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 GMA irked me off this morning. They kept leading up to GD like they were trying to hype everyone up, only to play like 2.25 songs (not including the other songs they showed like 2 second clips of). It seemed like there were more commercials then the actual show, and stfu about the goddamn weather already. Tre totally made it worthwhile though, I almost wet myself from laughter. The censor issues (or lack thereof) was pretty comical during Longview.

It pissed me off too.But judging by the "censorship skills" of the GMA staff, they obviously aren't sensible people.

tuwlol Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Whoa, I just saw the videos and realized how large the crowd was.I was all the way in the left back and the crowd was pretty..uncrowded..but the videos look kind of...crowded.Ha. Anyway.THAT WAS AMAZING.IGNORE THE FACT I WAS ONLY THERE FOR THREE SONGS...I got to Central Park at around 7:25ish and they were playing Murder City, and there were all these other school kids and we heard the band and we just started running and the police are all like "Whoa, slow down," but really...who would listen?I could barely see the stage and see what they were doing but the sound was awesome. And the best part was when they left, they went parallel to all the people standing at the back and I saw them for the first time awesomely up close..okay, not really.. but there were only two barriers between the band and us..and...well..okay maybe I'm overreacting. BUT IT WAS STILL AWESOME.
Tripe Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Thanks for all the photos and Cheryl, for the videos. I haven't uploaded them yet - will get to that later tonight, hopefully! I'm so glad you went, and took the family too!
