It's hard for me. I listened to them maybe 3 times while giving plasma and I'm leaning more to East Jesus Nowhere but it will probably change again.

I love them all. I look forward to reviewing the whole album in detail. I don't know what I'll think then, but yeah

21 Guns. I hope that one becomes a single!

21st Century Breakdown was my favorite and then 21 Guns second. I'm not that enthused about East Jesus Nowhere. Even when they played it live I wasn't that into it but it's not bad.

American Eulogy is the greatest thing I've ever heard. Very, very, very, very (x783648549627) excellent.

21 guns is amazingggg, then comes american eulogy close second.

i think this album is going to be amazing.

21 Guns and Before The Lobotomy are my favorite songs so far. The rest of the songs are good, not great, but good. Except Restless Heart Syndrom, I wasn't really feeling that song.

21 Guns was amazing. I think it's one of the best songs they have ever written. It takes you deep into that emotional pool, so when you come out your hair is standing up and your heart is beating like it was entwined within the song. Absolutely fantastic.

Restless Heart Syndrome then 21 Guns.

This is a very tough one. I have been listening to all of them more and more and right now I will have to go with 21 guns and American Eulogy.

I think all the songs sound really good, but right now there are three that are on my favorites list (and those 3 keep changing between eachother). Those would be (in no particular order): RHS, EJN, and 21 Guns. I'm so stoked for this album to come out. Been a long time in the making.

I haven't heard anything from this album, live on Youtube or album version, that I haven't liked. The title track is so grandiose and has three great melodies put together. East Jesus Nowhere is a great rocker, the guitar riffs really hit hard and the lyrics hit even harder! Restless Heart Syndrome reminded me of Queen because of the piano and string sections; I like it more than the ballads on American Idiot. American Eulogy isn't what I expected but a very good punk rocker anyway, I love the lyrics and how BJ and Mike deliver them. Before the Lobotomy totally reminds me of The Who in how it shifts from acoustic to electric and has crazy rhythms and its progressive structure. Love that one.

My favorite so far, however, is 21 Guns, and it looks like it's a lot of people's favorites. I think GD is going to slow-roll us releasing it as a single, probably wait until the end of the year. But it's such an amazing song, a nice melody, well-produced and the lyrics are really saying something about us and the state of the world. Literally sent chills up my spine the first time I heard it, which made me realize that the next million times I hear it will be just as great!

Absolutely can't wait for this album, it could be the best of the decade if it tops American Idiot as much as I think it will.

And for any fan who is ashamed of looking like a teenybopper for liking BoBD, please don't. Just because Green Day isn't a bunch of punk kids anymore doesn't mean we shouldn't embrace the newer material. They're expanding their horizons and playing different styles, ie. maturing as musicians. They're doing something that arguably no other band from their time has done or attempted, aiming as high as they are with these last two albums. I wish more rock bands (especially ones from the '90s) were as ambitious as them, but in terms of that pretty much nobody is on their level.

^Welcome to the forum! I'm totally bowled over by these songs too, I can't express how happy I am with them.

And a giant AMEN to your last paragraph! Good music is good music, why waste time worrying about what others think when you could just be sitting back and enjoying it?

I like 21st Century Breakdown.
