Don't wait. listen now! we value your opinion. When you get to hear the album in the right order it will stick. Go gal!!!!!

Hahaha - one thing I don't need now is more temptation . I had enough of that on facebook last night (and you all know who you are!!!!!).

I've not read every page on here, but I assume I'm in a minority for wanting to listen to the songs when the album actually comes out ? I just want to hear it properly through my headphones and be able to take it all in. I feel weird, but I don't want to spoil the anticipation.

i listened to none of it too :)

Welcome to the club. :)

You're in the minority yeah, but not the only one :D

Nahh, not really. I'm getting used to resisting new songs and all

Is there also a download of only the interview without the songs, or do I just have to download the full interview for that and skip the songs?

It's EXACTLY like that. The worse bit was seeing the play button on GDA and thinking 'just one song won't hurt, will it ?' I'm trying so hard !

I can imagine standing in a stadium and hear 21st CB (the song) :-)

There are parts where you could think that billie did just nothing else in the last years than to record one guitar part over the other...the whole guitar wall is smashing you down....it´s great ;-)

My opinion on the new songs (not like any of you really want to read this :D )

Before the Lobotomy is still my favourite. It's so epic - would be a great song live!

21 Guns is awesome, kinda reminds me of BoBD but I couldn't say which is better. It's strange how the AI Era is 'the old stuff' now, I can't even fucking compare the songs anymore.

Think they should've stopped the song at 3:55 though, ending with that solo thing would've been epic. Just my little personal opinion, don't think any of you will agree.

21st Century Breakdown: Average Green Day song in my opinion. I think it IS better than the demo though. And I also like the new intro better. For those who heard the live version of See The Light, you'll see that the intros for this and that song are really similar. It's like the same effect as Billie Joe singing "Don't wanna be an American Idiot" in homecoming. Kinda. Yeah.

East Jesus Nowhere: just awesome, obvious single too.

American Eulogy: hate the mass hysteria chorus, too dissonant. The rest of the song is pretty good. I'd have to hear this live to really know.

Restless Heart Syndrome: Love it! Doubt they'll be able to pull this off well live though.

Just what I think about it! :)

I've just synced all this delicious new Green Day to my mp3 player, and I fully intend on blasting it in the car in the next 30 minutes. I am so glad to have it  They're back and I'm proud. hehe

I cried at 21 Guns too, I really didn't expect Billie to go that high, his voice has improved a lot.

Don't tempt me ! I think I'll like them, it'll just be frustrating not to be able to listen to them whenever I want though. I haven't got an ipod (don't shoot me) and I can't add it to my spotify either. :(

Congrats on your will power then. But I can't see a point in resisting so hard when you want it so badly :P

Exactly. I always thought that he has an awesome voice and yeah, his voice is probably one of the reasons why I love Green Day so much. But he totally reaches a new level with his singing on the new record and I love it.

This album easily has Billie Joe's best vocals to date. We haven't even heard all the songs yet! But damn, his falsetto when he hits "Guns" or on Restless Heart Syndrome where he croons "I'm elated, medicated"...

Gives me the chills!

The only songs that really struck me were 21stCB and American Euology. The others weren't bad though, just not the Green Day I'm used to. Maybe they'll grow on me when the whole album is released.

In a way. But I would bet that the sound of this would more likely inspire the creation of Foxboro than the other way around, considering that Foxboro only came around at the end of 2007, and we have no idea when this song was written.

yeah. it sounds like a foxboro song that didnt get recordded then got picked back up then turned into this new angry type religeous green day rant.

I think East Jesus Nowhere sounds just like a Marilyn Manson song lol.

Ok, NOW I don't really know if I should listen or not. I want everything, but I don't want to spoil the album and the anticipation and the happyness with hearing it for the first time - whole.
