Jessayy Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 GO TO PEREZHILTON.COMhe has the clip of hearts collide on it...he shoulda put one of these ones up thoughtard...oh and 21 guns is my new favourite song...
SOMERTEN Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 21CBD, I like both versions, the demo and the finished product.I love the piano intro on the demo, doesn't sound like the finished version still has that (not sure). It was also a little faster I feel.In the finished version though each segment flows into the other better. I felt the demo jarred a little at the third section with the huge queen like guitar cutting in, it didn't seem to fit. It's far more subtle in the finished product. I also want to say I keep wanting to punch the Dookie fanatics in the face and scream:IT WAS FIFTEEN FUCKIN YEARS AGO!!! AT THAT TIME YOU WERE ABOUT FUCKIN FIVE YEARS OLD AND TOO YOUNG TO GET IT. IF YOU WERE INDEED A TEENAGER THEN YOURE NOW TOO FUCKIN OLD TO KEEP BLEATING ON ABOUT IT. PISS OFF!!!!!Aaah..... calm descends once more..........
Guillaume Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Today is just so amazing! I got my tickets for the live in Paris and then there are these 6 brand new songs!
The Disappearing Boy Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 i heart mike's bit on american eulogy. his singing combined with the guitar behind.

alexandrez Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Thanks. So these are the songs they recorded back then, nice to know.yea. but they might be just demos thoughno way to be sure.
chickin'pickin' Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 East Jesus Nowhere and American Eulogy are both fighting over my heart....
Holly Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 I don't want to listen to them. I really want to get the album and it be all brand new to me, except Know Your Enemy and 21st Century Breakdown. But I know I'm probably going to give in and listen before then, so maybe I should just do it now.

The Disappearing Boy Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 East Jesus Nowhere and American Eulogy are both fighting over my heart....i would agree with this.
SOMERTEN Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Pissing myself laughing at Picky Chicky threatening to ban Andres! it was always a double edged sword giving him too much power. Watch for the rise of the rebels..... excellent!Let battle commence!

Hermione Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 I am too. Might have to dust off my old GD t-shirt especially for the occasion. Looks like it will be an even more spectacular event then! i thought you meant this friday!! i know there are some gigs in germany this week, i thought you meant those!!Haha I wish.Oh and I agree I love Mike's singing on there, tis awesome. As is Before The Lobotomy, it's reminding me of something but I can't put my finger on what it is, hmmm.
Kate Austen Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 East Jesus Nowhere and American Eulogy are both fighting over my heart....I like American Euology more, but just because it has Mike Dirnt. I also like the vibe of the song more. Altho, the end of East Jesus has this incredible guitar part (where it sounds like it's mafioso) - almost reminds of this one Radiohead lick. Can't put my finger on it tho.
theeulogy Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Thanx so much! They're all great, but 21 Guns is just awesome!
Paper_Lantern Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Not liking Breakdown...they fucked with something that was already epic. And this is exactly why they didn't want the leaked version out.
chickin'pickin' Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Why am I hearing what sounds like parts of an interview with Billie Joe in restless heart syndrome? Doesn't sound as though it's part of the song at all
Lady Liberty Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 21 guns, although the lyrics are great, still manages to sound like indie crap. 21CB still sounds great, really like that song and the one that sounds like Deadbeat Holiday. Though, the " I dont want to live in the modern world" is annoying and has been done 39864836295865 times before.I really like the Before the Lobotomy one too, havent listened to the rest, still a but unsure, but excited.
The Disappearing Boy Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Why am I hearing what sounds like parts of an interview with Billie Joe in restless heart syndrome? Doesn't sound as though it's part of the song at all the songs were part of a radio show which included an interview. i think it is like it on some other songs.
