Ugh, I had to pry myself away from these. No more listening till I get a full leak (friday). The thing that sucks tho, is listening to other music seems so inferior after hearing these.

bear in mind ive only heard half of 21guns and EJN.

its pretty darn good, but i just prefer EJN on first listen :)

its not actually the first time ever green day have gone into a different time sig. There was a single bar (literally 1 bar!) of JOS that was 2/4, and part of 'I don't care' was 3/4. I think 'nobody likes you was 3/4 aswell.

but about before the lobotomy, i heard a live of that a while ago, and wondered if it was 7/8 timing, that bit sounds awesome doesn't it?!!

oh yea.

but the 3/4 isnt obvious and it's almost as natural as 4/4. 2/4 too. i mean odd time signatures. heh

but good point man.

also, another side note, those videos that are on youtube? the greendaystuff?

billie joe is recording Viva La Gloria! (Little Girl) and tre is recording Restless Heart Syndrome.

I was laying in bed this morning listening to it and just had a huge smile on my face. I said "fuck yeah, this is great!", then thought "I can see why people would cry over it"

I love, how all the people on here are listening to those songs right now together. It is like storming over to your best friend with a new record like: "Look, I got the new....!!!" and then listening together, only now it is 70 crazy people all at once. :lol:

yeah, BTL is the first 'really obvious' time change :)

the videos im talking about are the live concerts that were a couple of weeks ago. just type before the lobotomy into youtube and you should find a live version of it :)

Last night was so incredible having 140 people listening together. It made the whole thing so much more emotional.

And I still havent stopped crying. :rolleyes:
