Guest Shangri-La Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 I can't tell what it is. but it might be a new song that we're not familiar with yet. It will be revealed. The song starts when you first hear the woman speaking spanish, or whatever language she's speaking.LISTEN to me people.... At the 24 second mark, I swear, someone is whispering 'satan worshippers' or something along those lines Someone listen, and tell me if you don't agree. I've got my headphones on. It sounds like it's backwards. Wow hahai'm breaking out the $200 headphones for this
Drink Drank Punk Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Sorry if this has been mentioned before but the first half of American Eulogy reminds me of Deadbeat Holiday, so I came straight on here to see if anyone agreed. Regardless...it's amazing. They're all amazing.you're right. Didn't notice that until you mentioned it.
MusicalDeviant Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 i'm breaking out the $200 headphones for thisIts all about the AKG's.
swarheely Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 i also like 21st century breakdown final more than demo, the harmonies are so rad! american eulogy is one of my favorites right now but i love them all, i really cant wait for the rest, im sooo excited for peacemaker, and i like how theres references to other songs in the lyrics, siked to hear these all within the record, and restless heart syndrome is so beautiful

MusicalDeviant Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 oks, i might listen to ONEtell my which it should beNo, stick to your goal. You made a promise to yourself. Now show some strength and keep it. Looking back, you'll be proud of yourself for doing it."Life before the Lobotomy/Christian sang the eulogy!" the part where this song picks up is my life. I fucking adore it. Where has "Before the Lobotomy" been all my life?
Hayley Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Sorry if this has been mentioned before but the first half of American Eulogy reminds me of Deadbeat Holiday, so I came straight on here to see if anyone agreed. Regardless...it's amazing. They're all amazing.Thats exactly what I was thinking!*high five*
Starbug Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 i'm breaking out the $200 headphones for thisYes, I think it's called for It's there. It's 'satan worshiper' BACKWARDS no less! I told Beth I think it was put there for the express purpose of someone finding it and making trouble over it I those scamps!
Jaymee!! Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 that's why i said i thought it was either that or welcome to paradise. it's an E chord in that short clip, both those songs have an E chord.. i dont know. but its definitely a song off dookie. it's like they're saying you turn on the radio and all you hear is aerosmith, mexicans yelling at eachother, people talking about jesus, and green day.also, there's a bad 90's song that sounds like the beginning of before the lobotomy. i think it's a liz phair song but i cant think of it and its driving me nuts.......... if anyone figures it out i'll give you a dollar.WHAT is wrong with hearing Aerosmith? & yeah I didn't notice right away because I wasn't listening intently like the rest of you! I just had the songs on in the background lol
JAS0N Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 I think it's the other way around lol I get something like 'from Mexico to the Berlin Wall' as, like, putting up a wall between us and Mexico like was talked about (and still is). That makes more sense to me.But I really don't care lol it's a non-issue."Videogames to the towers fall" to me is a reference to how brutal violence is shown as fun to kids through video games and how easily things like the towers falling on 9/11 can be accepted by this new generation because its like the games they play on their PS2 or Xbox.
Vanilla Shake Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 I literally have tears in my eyes, and I'm a dude. The opening of Before The Lobotomy had me on the ground, because it's my current sate of mind. They have made the perfect album, the album that finally relates to me on a personal level like no other. All of their albums have done that, but just hearing these songs has sealed the deal. This will be the album of my life.Green Day for fucking ever.
Guest Shangri-La Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 oh my god i do hear "satan worships" !!except on the download i have it's at 48 seconds. That's fucking creepy and i think i'm going to have nightmares tonight.
thenextsexpistol_mak Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 No, stick to your goal. You made a promise to yourself. Now show some strength and keep it. MusicalDeviant Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 I think it's the other way around lol I get something like 'from Mexico to the Berlin Wall' as, like, putting up a wall between us and Mexico like was talked about (and still is). That makes more sense to me.But I really don't care lol it's a non-issue.I feel the same way. I think it connected to Homeland Security far better.

MusicalDeviant Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 THIS IS CRUEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!FUCK YOUHey, don't get mad at me. You made a promise. Its not my fault.
GTI Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 American Eulogy I think... Yes. Or EJN or 21 Guns.21 GUNS! I am so proud of me and my Satan finding skillz.Yes, 21 Guns!!Once you hear one though, you'll want to listen to them all..And don't yell at MusicalDeviant. You're the one that has been saying that you don't want to listen to any and now you're giving in. Either listen or don't.
JAS0N Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Me four.I will never get that line "From Mexico to the Berlin wall" out of my head. It´s stucked deep inside there... I want the demo version back While I don't agree the demo is better, I agree about that line, its hard to sing it different after hearing it 300x the other way.I think most people think the demo is better just because its what your used to hearing. You'd probably be saying it about all the songs if you heard the demo's before since they'd all be stripped down versions of what they eventually became.
