A friend of a friend of mine got a little butterfly (like Billie's, but not in b&w) on her lower stomach and the night she got it, she passed out.

i think it really depends on where you get the tattoo. my tat (forearm/wrist) didn't hurt at all. but i was so afraid before that i actually thought about rather not getting it done. but in the end, i was so happy about everything that i'd love to get another one :).

Yeah, sometimes it depends on where it is. Like, if you get one on an area where there isn't much skin to pinch, then the chances of it hurting are higher. And if it's right on a bone, then it'll most likely hurt more.

But I think it's also dependent on the person. For every 10 people that say a wrist tattoo is absolutely fine, at least 10 more will say the opposite. It depends on the individual's pain threshold. My first tattoo was ridiculously sore, like it was the most painful thing in the entire world...but everyone had told me it wouldn't be sore at all and I'd be fine :rolleyes:

But my second one wasn't too bad at all, I could totally handle it. Maybe because I was expecting it to be alot worse because of the first time :lol:

I always thought that getting a tattoo was less painful then getting an injection.

Needles freak me out, still I want to get a tattoo next summer.

Thing is, an injection is one needle, one spot, lasts about one second. A tattoo is like that a thousand times.

y'know, i've never really wanted a tattoo before even though they look really brilliant on other people.

but all of a sudden, recently, i've had thoughts of wanting a little, vibrantly coloured feather on my wrist. i love lovebird feathers, too :blush: i've always had a thing for feathers, what with them being from an animal of flight, freedom, height and elegance etc. Plus I think some of them can be really beautiful.

is that weird?

this is my tattoo i was orginaly going to have billies butterfly but then i changes my mind and got this butterfly but i got the three stars representing bille tre and mike :D

tell you what i am the biggest W when it comes to pain and mine hardly hurt at all by the end of it i couldnt feel a thing!!

I've never had a tattoo done but it sounds like you'd have to take into consideration the spot, your pain tolerance and how much you want one. lol.

I've got an appointment this Saturday for me Christian and Gloria skulls tattoo and Rancid lyrics!

I want the Green Day one on my lower stomach area, but i'm not sure the area is gonna be big enough. So i'm thinking perhaps behind one of my shoulders. Any other suggestions are welcome!

Oh, I'm sure I'll get a tattoo in the future =)

I want to think about what to get, where and what.. And I'll make sure it's nothing I will ever get bored of (nothing too big also), And that means a lot to me!

I'll also make sure it's related to our boys in a way *.*

I know it will hurt a lot, especially because I'm really skinny! But we'll see

I wasnt even nervous before i got it because i thought...ah fuck it you want that so go for it :cool:

but i got a bottle of coke with me if i get circulation problems or something....it was really hot that day^^

and when we left it started to rain :down:

Oh well...pain is bearable if you want the tattoo
