The only way you will be able to access presale information for these shows starting Wed, May 6 at 3pm Local Venue Time is via this special link that will only work when accessed through this news page.

no see the times above.

unfortunately angie is busy right now with her mom. Do you need me to get her a message?

Yes, those times are very clear, but when clicking on the link below them (where it says: Here is the link to purchase presale tickets), it goes to a page that will have a Buy Tickets link for each show (all say Not Available right now). BUT on that second page, all the times are given as Standard. That's why I was confused. However, Netty has answered now, so I feel MUCH better :woot:!

Whew!

okay, three answers to questions. hopefully this will help out a bit.

more pre-sales will be announced today for next week so keep your eyes out for those.

the admin are trying to find out if the "will call" windows are going to be opened early so that members can get their tickets in plenty of time

all pre-sales are daylight time.

most box offices open several hours before the show, so can't we just go over and get our tickets and then get back in line?

Thanks for the info dear :)

And no, if she's with her mom I don't want to bother her. I was unaware :(

no I was mostly asking the forum in general.

It doesnt seem necessary for them to open early is what I am saying, they will be open hours before the show. They are not going to let people in the venue before the box office opens.

some of the posts I`ve read about this, people have been expecting the windows not to open until people are actually being let into the show. in other words, that they will be queuing for their pre-sale tickets as those with public sale tickets are being let into the gig. leaving them worse off than they would be. I would have thought, but dont obviously know, that pre-sale people will go in before public sale people. dont have a clue if thats right or not though.

Well, I can never resist clicking on a link to something I want - even if I don't expect it to be available yet. No one ever called me patient .

that doesnt make much sense.

i think they open a few hours before the show.

they usually open hours before the show so doubt if it will be a big problem. Most people arent gonna be idiots like us in line all day, they will show up, get their tix, and go in the venue. So when the box office opens, we shouldnt have trouble getting ours..

Well, at least people who get presales through IC shouldn't be any worse off than those who go the general public sale route. I think that mistake was made at one of the secret shows, but they seemed to get that sorted out at subsequent shows. Hopefully, they'll have a good plan in place for these. And when they respond to you about that will call question, it may answer all the other outstanding questions we have.

I`ve never been in the position of having to get my tickets on the day so dont have a clue about how it works. from the stories I`ve read I can understand why people wanted clarification. it might be obvious to people who have done this before or never had problems but some obviously have and so concerns have been raised. I`m just trying to get definate answers to these.

I attempted to do a search of the forums for it but haven't found it - does anyone know yet how much these tickets are expected to be?

i think it depends upon the venue.

i googled "united center chicago will call policy" and it says that will call tickets are available 90 mins before the show starts. so as long as the doors don't open 90 minutes or more before the show starts, it will be fine.. :\

I don't know about you guys but I ain't risking it. Not gonna do will call

For me it would seem kinda odd going to a huge concert without having tickets in my hand. I would be so pissed if I found out I couldn't make it in whether it be the first concert or the fifteenth concert. Especially if I had to drive(or fly) a long distance.

But good luck to you all going that way :)

Hmmm, the venue for the Somet Center states this

Will Call:

Will Call: Tickets held for will call may be picked up with proper ID, the Credit Card used to order the tickets and the account number 2 hours prior to the event. Automated will call kiosks are available inside the main entrance for your convenience.

Even so, you are still going to be back in line behind folks that bought Public tickets. Because, you have to show up at the box office, and get them. I dunno, I see what your saying. If the box office is open really early, the line prob wont be that big.

Just seems stupid.

The only time Will Call makes sense is if the PIT is small, and all of PIT is Will Call (even general sale). But since these are big GA floors, seems a bit pointless. Altho i guess it does prevent scalpers. But it seems to me, this is more hurting the Idiot Club members. If they did let will call earlier then everyone else (Which we will find out) - then it's worth it!

just to post and update that I know will earn me some major abuse.... its not just two tickets per member per show in the pre-sales. if you want more tickets for the same show, you can go back in and buy another two. that wasnt how I understood it so I apologise for the fact I`ve told people there was a two ticket limit per show for idiot club members.

thats exactly what they are trying to do, is prevent scalpers from getting tickets. Only people that will do will call are people that are definitely going. But yeah it is kinda uncomfy not knowing what is going on otherwise, my guess is it will all work out fine. I am going to the first two shows, so I will letchya know.

Wow, that's the way I understood it, too. I don't think it's your problem, I just think the people running things over there don't always communicate very clearly. Gotta love 'em for trying, but it seems like we're always having misunderstandings of things they post (or finding errors in them).

Well if you're with someone, or make friends with the people in line around you, you can leave to get the tickets then get back in line. Idk... this whole thing is making me so damn nervous.

I'm so paranoid that I won't get a pre-sale/really crappy seating. I need the release date for the Connecticut show up now. XD

Posted

seating for the idiot club pre-sale will not be crappy! in the public sale you are way more likely to have to take crappy seating. not the pre-sale.
