Lady Liberty Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Could be worse, though I get the feeling that America won't like them as much as the Brits.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 So it was true anyway? x)I don't know much of their music, but I like what I know. But I'm not in America anyway
Elis_x Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 I really like the Kaiser Chiefs, but does anyone know, which band will play before Green Day on their Europe Tour??I guess it won't be Kaiser Chiefs, what's okay with me, cause I don't like them but I'd like to know who it will be afterall..
Sister of Grace Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Here's a list of potential better bands that they could have taken as support:GoldfingerLess Than JakeBouncing SoulsBlink 182Sum 41AFIThe BriggsFlogging MollyWhy would people goign to see Green Day want to listen to 30 minutes tedious UK Indie music before they get to see Green Day?Why not any of the number of good pop-punk bands playing music people might actually like?Tour bookers confuse me a lot.Agreed!! Let's hope they aint supporting Green Day in Europe!!
04rebhop Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Aww i really like Kaiser Chiefs. I would really have liked to see them live. Shame they are not supporting the UK tour. My dream support would be the band Muse, but i doubt that will happen.
Trina Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 hahahaha well that sucks...could be worse though eg MCRLeast I dont have to see them (mind you, we'll probably get a worse band! )To be honest I don't care who the support for the Irish shows is...I'll be too wrapped up in Green Dayness (though the rumoured Bouncing Souls would be awesome)
Trina Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 I can see why they're bringing them to the US though - they're not well known there so they're probably trying to make it in the US...Their music wouldnt make sense to americans though...In my opinion. I know that sounds weird, but it's just sooo british. They're just such a mediocre band. I hate mediocre things so much - I'd prefer a shit band honestly. They're just so boring and unpassionate about what they do....They wanted Kaiser Chiefs or Franz Ferdinard, I relly prefered Franz Ferdinard they are better and they aren't as borring as the Kaiser ChiefsWhere did you hear this?!Franz woulda been alot better - not the best band in the world but alot better than the chiefs...Maybe they'll be the support act for the other US dates or maybe somewhere else??Isn't that just playing into their hands?hahaha oh my god, I lol'd!ewwww are you joking?besides the fact that the killers are a terrible band, brandon flowers hates green day.. and they're mormon! This is all true. I hate that pretentious git.
Tek Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Didn't the AI tour have two opening acts? New Found Glory and Sugarcult?I hated NFG and the Kaiser Chiefs doesn't seem too great. Now Sum 41 and Green Day? That would be awesome...
anniewoo Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 I'd love it! here here, hope AFI or similar band will support in the UK.... really hope it's not kaiser cheifs for the UK  can anyone say BORINGhope it's not new found glory again lolAFI would be amazing... and i really enjoyed taking back sunday and jimmy eat world at milton keynes.
gdpunk2 Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Here's a list of potential better bands that they could have taken as support:GoldfingerLess Than JakeBouncing SoulsBlink 182Sum 41AFIThe BriggsFlogging MollyWhy would people goign to see Green Day want to listen to 30 minutes tedious UK Indie music before they get to see Green Day?Why not any of the number of good pop-punk bands playing music people might actually like?Tour bookers confuse me a lot.Less Than Jake would be awesome! I saw them November 2008, amazing they were. Anyway, I don't like the Kaiser chiefs, but ive heard they are really good live, so it would be good to check them out. I dont live in the US though...I wonder who will be UK/Europe support...hmmm
she* Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 WHAT THE FUCK?! I feel sorry for everyone who's going to have to watch them.I fully agree. The lead singer is so far up his own arse it's untrue¬¬¬
ferryfan Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Here's hoping they do the Europe gigs too!yeh, on their own!!!
MusicalDeviant Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 They wanted Kaiser Chiefs or Franz Ferdinard, I relly prefered Franz Ferdinard they are better and they aren't as borring as the Kaiser ChiefsFranz Ferdinand was watching green day at the Fox. Got to meet them. Very nice guys. Terrible clothing though. Also, Jimmy Eat World or My Chem were better warm up acts than this.Bring back Pansy Division!!! With gay marriage being approved in 5 states and everyone being open and accepting of gays, now is the time for these fellows to be brought into the limelight.
Ally Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Also, Jimmy Eat World or My Chem were better warm up acts than this.I'd like to see JEW with green day, that would be awesome
Harriet Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Meh, I wouldn't mind if the Kaiser Chiefs opened for Green Day in the UK, they're alright. My dream support would be The Rasmus though, that would be amazing! Anything except MCR is fine by me.
Nobody_Likes_You Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 My cousin loves them, has even seen them live. Too bad they're not touring with Green Day in Europe, I like them, too.
deathtofalsesushi Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Didn't the AI tour have two opening acts? New Found Glory and Sugarcult?Good lord...and people are complaining about the Kaiser Chiefs?
Starbug Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 I have never heard this band before, so I really have no opinion other than I wish they'd gotten the Fratellis lol
WrenchNinja Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Hmm...I never heard of themStill hoping for The Living End on July 22!
Fauxfink Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Could be worse, though I get the feeling that America won't like them as much as the Brits.nope.
