IscoredWaddlesgoals Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Am a bit jealous, I don't mind Kaiser Chiefs, apparently they're quite good live. You might even get to see Kaisersaurus. Also, the name does make sense, they're named after an African football team.
Comrade Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 all i can say is, at least its not fucking my chemical romance again because i would kill myself.Isn't that just playing into their hands?
whatshername? Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Kaiser Cheifs are cool, wouldn't have minded seeing them open up for GD!Unexpected though, not a band i would of predicted, but I guess that's part of the excitement? Can't wait to find out whos opening for them in the uk!!!
Guest 16PaperLanterns Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 I'm glad they're not touring with GD in Boston.
Guest Shangri-La Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 The Killers would have been betterewwww are you joking?besides the fact that the killers are a terrible band, brandon flowers hates green day.. and they're mormon!
suicidexmakeover Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 they better not be on the uk tour, they are shit :/
norcalgreendayfan Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 I just can't wait to see who it going to be the supporting act for the last part of the tour I hope its someone good but either way I going to the show to see Green Day
punkfunkdisco Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Kaiser Chiefs, whilst being a mediocre indie band, are actually really good live. Well, they were when I saw them support the Ordinary Boys about 4 years ago. It's a weird choice, though. Do they even have a new album out? Plus, if GD wanted to get a weird little indie band to play with them, there's better bands than the Kaisers. Although they have a history of that; didn't Hard Fi support at MK? I only arrived 15 minutes before GD came on and deliberately avoided the support bands!
E M M A Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 They won't be playing the UK, KC are bigger over here and would have their own tour not supporting GD... THANK GOD!Although they play an excellent live gig, just not with GD... and I'll be seeing them at Leeds anyways
norcalgreendayfan Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Mother fuckers. They told me straight up this wasn't true when i asked about it a month ago.Guess things changed from when you asked them till now or they just through you for a loop there or something
Robin105 Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 I never listened to them. Guess I have some research to do.
.Brian Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 I've got a friend who works for a ticket company, and he seems to think there's no support act for the UK shows, he wasn't sure about the other European ones though.my tickets for germany, netherlands and belgium all say 'GREEN DAY + SUPPORT ACT'
dallasthemenace Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 awwww...burn. id like to have seen the kaiser chiefs. i bet the next support act bites ass sandwiches. ive got a bad feeling about this.
Kaddi. Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 I don't listen to the Kaiser Chiefs... but I hope they'll have one of my favorite bands as a support act in Germany. Like one of the great German indie bands... Kettcar, Tomte, Zebrahead or One Fine Day. Broadway Calls would be also awesome. However, I just hope they'll find a cool band.
PhillyPunk Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 I think the Living End will be touring with them too. White noise has been out almost a year now and the living end still have not toured the USA with it. Just what I think and why I have had to wait for the living end to come back to the usa because they will tour with green day. lets see if I'm rite.
madie Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 They wanted Kaiser Chiefs or Franz Ferdinard, I relly prefered Franz Ferdinard they are better and they aren't as borring as the Kaiser ChiefsBoth are as shit as each other.
Hermione Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 LOL Kaiser Chiefs are my mum's favourite band, and she hates Green Day (or at least pretends to to annoy me). The idea of them touring together caused much amusement in this household.I don't like their music but they look really good live, it'd be cool if they supported them in the UK too.
BuriedInAHole Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 I really like the Kaiser Chiefs, but does anyone know, which band will play before Green Day on their Europe Tour??
BillieJoeCandy Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 I really like the Kaiser Chiefs, but does anyone know, which band will play before Green Day on their Europe Tour??I'd also like to know! <3
