Marlon_GD Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 I'm not necessarily telling they hid something in that clip, that there's a hidden message, that the whole album has an underlaying theme or is protesting quietly. I just uploaded the pictures, because I saw something. Just like the KKK member, it is there, I don't give an explanation or assumption of those pictures. I just see stuff, and post them here. The things I marked are there, my previous post with what I think is on the pictures, is just what I THINK... My interpretation... I don't go tell everyone that you must believe this or that. Also, people telling like, Bullshit this, Ok, that's your opinion, we all respect that. But if we are to respect your opinion, please also think about other people and their interpretations.... Just sayin'...Anyhow, I don't think shit about it, about what those picture have in them... That's my opinion
mandypants19 Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Perhaps I'm crediting them with too much intelligence here, but maybe they're challenging people's view towards capital punishment and mob mentality ? Billie kinda mentioned the whole-city-burning-down-while-making-out-with-your-girlfirend scenario when he was describing the album. If it's not ok to murder someone totally innocent, why is it any better to turn the tables ? I'm sure far more people would be offended if that figure wasn't hooded or a member of a religious cult.As you said, I think there's supposed to be a deeper meaning in the picture. Its like, this guy is evil and everyone knows it, but is it right to kill him? It kind of goes along with the whole hypocrisy/ questioning your beliefs thing that Billie always likes to play with. And it also seems to go along with the story line. Like someone said earlier, the image is next to Christian, and Christian seems to be rather destructive individual.
chatnoir Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Pretty much yeah. I figured you'd have more fun ranting about it than I would so I let you take care of that one.haha i waited for you to respond tooNow I must say, I feel a bit left out. I said "Bullshit" first.
fashionvictim86 Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 When I saw this topic I laughed for like 5 minutes.Reminds me of an episode of the Simpsons.....subliminal messages.
arrie44 Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 There are modern groups that align with the klan in many ways. For example Fred Phelps and his crew, they'd be a pretty sight hanging.I work in Kansas City, KS (where they are based) and I just want to say they need to die of severe ass rape.

fashionvictim86 Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 I'd love it if Green Day had no idea they were there. That would be so funny.
arrie44 Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 bull shit, Bull Shit, BULL SHIT!What is bullshit about it? You guys are young but if you were to ask any 30+ year old African-American what "The Revolution" is, they will tell you it is when all the black people rise up and riot and take over. I'm not making it up. Now I'm not saying that is what Billie is talking about, just saying check out the KYE cover art and the hanging clansman and that could play in....don't be such a dick and scream BULLSHIT, I'm not lying about anything.
Chad is Rad Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 That's really weird...I didn't see it at first, so I zoomed in, and it's there. The KKK is the most worthless organization in the planet, so I see why they did it. 400th post
Marlon_GD Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 I'd love it if Green Day had no idea they were there. That would be so funny. indeed ... Now they are reading this and they're like... fuck... xDone lyric comes to mind..."It's just a bunch of niggers throwing gas into the hysteria"

I know, there have been extremists groups in this movement, but I highly doubt, that all afro-american people understood the term "revolution" like this. The followers of Martin Luther King didn't for instance.

Google is your friend.what the fuck, are making the assumption that i am not aware of my own history? anyone one can take tidbits from history to support their opinions, that doesn't make them right. I am talking of now not then. In till you ask every african american to define revolution and give me the pie graph of results your opinion will remain an opinion not fact. So i still say bull shit and to top it off fuck you.

This is just a historical fact, I'm not making any stance or statement here and there is nothing for anyone to be upset about. Chill people.what the fuck, are making the assumption that i am not aware of my own history? anyone one can take tidbits from history to support their opinions, that doesn't make them right.
