TheBullwinkle Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 I guess at this point, it would have to be 21st Century Breakdown. If a new fan starts out with their older stuff, they're probably going to hate their new stuff. And if you understand where the band's coming from now, you're more likely to understand and like their older stuff. I don't know, maybe I'm over analyzing it.
madie Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Nimrod or Warning.Every song on those albums is fun and easy to fall in love with.
Jaymee!! Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 International Superhits, for blatantly obvious reasons.
Guest Billy Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Dookie...Best album ever made!Dark Side of the Moon, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, London Calling, and Electric Ladyland would disagree.
Supermodel*Robot Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Nimrod. Most variety, and ultimately their greatest album.
Teenage Kicks! Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 AMERICAN IDIOT!!!!!! DUHHHZ~~~~Hm...I'd have to say Dookie. Just cause...It's catchy. No. NIMROD. I don't know...
SlappyDJ1 Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 it depens on hat you like. if you want some nice punk rock music with some really good lyrics, go with american idiot. if you want old school alternative, go with dookie. if you want a mix, go with warning.
ILoveTableArt Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Nimrod hands down. It's a lovely variety bag.
04rebhop Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 I would show them Kerplunk, because i like that album and i think that it is their best!
gmcloughlin Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 ISH!. Greatest hits albums, imo, are a great way to introduce a new listener to a band that has a lot of records.Thats what I suggest.Or AI, in the build up to 21st CB.Give them a taste of where GD left off in 04
Justin79135 Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 I would like to recomend American Idiot coz it has different sounds like and emo tym , groovie one, happy one its a mixture of sounds that id lyk to reccomend to nu listeners

ScreamsInSilence815 Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Warning or Dookie. And possibly American Idiot.

Blue-Rebel Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 It's kind of hard to choose just one.International Superhits as it's got a variety on it.Nimrod because it's just awesome.AI because that was Green Day's last album.
Chad is Rad Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 I'd probably say Warning. It has a variety of all of their sounds on there...and it's just a great album in general.
shoegazeloser Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Definetely International Superhits!. It has a compilation of the band's greatest hits, and the songs on that album basically summarize the sound of the band.
