day1_9 Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 I liked the security camera angle. And the helicopters. But did anyone come after them? Did the "enemy" come after them and try to stop them? No. Just random helicopters and security camera footage, at one point showing a capitol building not actually in LA. Bayer made actual videos. This is just pretentious live footage by another name. Are you reading my mind
MusicalDeviant Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 thats because they know their enemyWas it making sense? because clearly they did all they could to avoid it.
Starbug Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Man you guys sure know how to bitch about everything.Amen to that.DAMN IT! I WANNA WATCH IT! :verymad:
soundbarrier4 Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 I could care less how the video was. It's new Green Day for me and I always like that.I actually like performance videos.
Fauxfink Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 I feel like this video was made just to make a video. Is there anything we can really take away from it? It's not very creative, just a teaser.
farley drexel hatcher Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 And the video's simplicity carries over to the album. After all, as the first single of a huge album, this thing could've been a special-effects enhanced, green-screen infused trainwreck. But instead, it's powerful and straightforward: Here's Green Day. They rock. Watch them do so. When the band is this good and the music so fist-pumpingly raucous, there's really nothing else you need to say.
Alex. Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 they could have made this like the bandit version of in the shadows by the rasmus.. that would have been epic.
Trina Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 AGH!!!! I need to see this :( The launch was fail...Okay Im just bitter, I'm trying everything. Anyone have any ideas. Anyone putting it on youtube (I know it will get took down, Ill save it quick)
Supermodel*Robot Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Man you guys sure know how to bitch about everything. I love the colors of the skyline in the first half.http://watch.muchmusic.com/#clip164797haha thanks. Somehow I didn't find it there. Meh, it's an alright video. Not horrible, not fantastic. A bit like the song itself actually...

It's not very creative, just a teaser.Maybe it's not supposed to be the greater meaning to life music video. It's them performing, which is what they do best. This is like the WTP video with a budget.
MusicalDeviant Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 It seems pretty lame of green day to spend the millions of dollars we give to them through the purchase of their merchandise and such on crappy videos.
day1_9 Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Maybe everyone can be happy with the next one. Doubt it.that's impossible

soundbarrier4 Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 It seems pretty lame of green day to spend the millions of dollars we give to them through the purchase of their merchandise and such on crappy videos. It's better than them making a large-scale-holy-shit-special-effects-green-screen-mega-huge video to just have people then say they've become sellouts.
