Renjini Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Okay, you do realize that Billie (and Tre too, I think) is bisexual? And what axl said, those lyrics were used in a purely sarcastic and mocking way. i know that, i posted that alreadyin holiday during that part, i see him as mocking politicians
Starbug Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Wow, kid you got a lot to learn. Billie Joe is one of the least homophobic rock stars there is. He was saying that as a way of mocking actual homophobic/anti-gay people.Yeah, he kisses dudes and has said he's bi. But that still doesn't change the fact that people overreact to the word 'gay' being used when the intent behind it is harmless. Just like in rap songs black folks calling each other 'nigga' and whatnot, I don't understand that, but hey, whatever floats their boat or finds their lost remote... the intent behind these words have changed, it's just slang. I am a fag hag. My best friend calls me that, I call myself that, and neither of us have any problem with that. HE uses the word 'gay' in a way other than regarding homosexuals. so you ask some gays if it offends them, and they laugh it off as being silly. Then you have the slim minority of people that get horribly offended. It's just odd...Because the word gay is associated with homosexual people. When he said 'Wrestling is GAY" he didn't mean Wrestling is happy. It is immature to use the word in that fashion. It sounds like what a 12 year old would say. I mean the swastika was also a symbol of peace but that isn't what it is associated with either.I know he didn't mean 'wrestling is happy'. The word has changed yet again. ANYWAY, someone posted that Tre was bi... I don't think Tre is bi, is he? has he ever actually said that? I know they gay it up on stage But I don't think any of them are gay... irregardless, all of this is horribly off topic, so... moving on... :whistling:
nimrod-41 Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 How did this thread turn into a sexuality debate?Although, maybe you're all just reading between the lines of the wrestlers story.."Tommy and I were very tight friends""obviously stayed in the same hotels""The next day Tommy and I are packing our bags (we were rooming together)"He seems to mention that alot... :whistling:[/Rumours]
Spider Tre Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 i'm wondering how this became a sexuality thread too

CaseyStead Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 But why do you think what they supposedly did wasn't unjustified? How are you positive that Taz made it all up, and to what end?Green Day's a punk band, they love causing trouble lolYou almost answered the first one for me. I think what they supposedly did was justified because they're a punk band. It was "probably around 3am" and they're likely to have just played a show the previous night. The last thing they need is someone not doing their job properly, and being punks they wouldn't stand for it. Sure, they were drunk but they wouldn't have said anything uncalled for. You know what some people are like, if a band arrives drunk and claims to have a reservation, perhaps the woman just didn't take them seriously and was uncooperative (however the fuck it's spelt), in which case their actions will have been justified. As for your second question I gave my reasons for what I said about him in my original post.At the end of the day, the guy said it himself, it was a long time ago and he's taken a lot of hits to the head. We can't take this seriously for one moment until we've heard the band's side of the story.

Green Day could be pissing down your back, and telling you it was raining and you would believe them.Taz hasn't been an active wrestler in ten years, he has told the story before and has no reason to lie.

Hermione Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 I'm betting they were messing with the hotel clerk in a silly jokey way, and these guys just wanted to act the heroes. I see the police were only called AFTER they became involved. I'd imagine two big blokes squaring up to eight small blokes would be quite a scary scene, whereas Green Day acting like dicks would just be annoying.http://i39.tinypic.com/2ah7cjl.jpgLOL!This actually reminds me of how Tre apparently got into an argument with the entire cast of UK TV show 'Fat Friends' in a hotel onceA group of about eight women, all much, much bigger than Tre, against just Tre. The mental image alone is pretty funny.Double LOL
nimrod-41 Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 I think it is cool that they stood up for that girl. Way to go Taz and Dreamer!I'll drink to that. There's not enough people who would stand up for her.
W Axl Rose Posted April 22, 2009 Author Posted April 22, 2009 whoever wrote "bawls" probably meant it in a sarcastic way, or was just mad about the comments on his page like you kinda are right now.No they wrote Taz likes bawls meaning Taz is gay. Either way anyone who writes bawls can't be over a certain age and is clearly immature. I'm not mad about anything. I just think it is funny that some GD fans are so hardcore that the band can do no wrong in their eyes. GNR are my favorite band and even I know that Axl can be an incredibly big asshole at times.

Green Day could be pissing down your back, and telling you it was raining and you would believe them.Taz hasn't been an active wrestler in ten years, he has told the story before and has no reason to lie.Well thats exactly what I'm saying, I don't believe they were being assholes, I think at the most they'd have argued that they had a reservation. I think it's exaggerated. This guy is obviously all macho alpha-male. He's obviously not gonna apreciate the likes of Green Day, not with their collective attitudes. Perhaps, and again, this is just speculation sice we only have one side of the story, Taz would have butted in even if Green Day weren't in the wrong, exaggerated the story and made himself the hero. We can't just take his word for it. Not one bit.As for your comment about me believing anything that Green Day say, that's just pathetic. You sound like some kinda robot. The reason I'm sticking up for them is that they haven't given their side of this, and it was very unfair of you to even create this thread. Taz doens't even sound sure of his own story, so nothing is fact.So yeah, anyone wanting to argue back, FUCKING READ MY POSTS PROPERLY.Edit: Oh yeah, hypocrite much? You obviously believe anything Taz says without hearing both sides of the story.
arrie44 Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Not everyone loves Green Day like we do. Who cares? Taz and Tommy Dreamer would have killed them. Sounds like something GD would have done 15 years ago but now not so much. I can't seem them being assholes to a hotel clerk anymore and I am sure their travel plans are arranged well in advance now.Haha sounds like they would have deserved it too. They were young punks having the time of their lives, would do you expect?

I don't care if they're 'punks' or not... but you're right, this is a one sided sort of story, and sometimes things are blown out of proportion and memories are a lot different years down the road after the fact. But I also don't think people should completely write it off as being bullshit because they think GD is incapable of being assholes, because they are. We all are.ahahahahahaha
DeJennsitized Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Pfft, who cares? It was a long time ago. I can't imagine the guys being violent or aggressive; this Taz guy may have exaggerated Green Day's behaviour to make themselves look more heroic. Unless Green Day decide to tell their side of the story (and why would they bother, or remember?) I'd be willing to bet this story is more than a little bit biased. What's with all the sexuality talk? Looks to me that the poster who said Taz like bawls meant it as a joke. It's actually kind of obvious.

And how do you get he's obviously an alpha male? I'm not being mean, I'm just talking to you lol And I don't think it was unfair of him to create this thread because it's Green Day related, and this took place a long time ago when they were a bunch of drunk punks. Billie said himself he was all about self destruction and ruining what he'd created for a long time (paraphrasing) and we also know he drinks. A lot. To the point of blacking out, and getting a DUI, so this story, actually, is plausible for those reasons alone. The only thing the wrestler has going against him is that he's a wrestler Oh, and he admits he's been hit in the head a few times haha
W Axl Rose Posted April 22, 2009 Author Posted April 22, 2009 Haha sounds like they would have deserved it too. I don't think they were rubbing their hands together, being all diabolical, twirling their mustaches going, "Muahahaha, there's a poor, defenseless girl, let's go give her hell!" No, they were out late partying, drunk off their asses, and she might've been snotty, or not.
