petrina_678 Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 10 years from now how do you think people and you (green day) would perceive this album , in both the sense of green day's career and the social impact. Would it be the album that essentially defines "green day" and that was perfect social commentary on the current times? Or would it be regarded as something totally different?
Vanessa Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I'd ask why the hell this CD sounds like American Idiot part II so far.
jack666 Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 why the fuck did it take so long ha jokes. That's it. No jokes. I've gone crazy these years thinking about them! Missed Green Day so much Now, must think about some real questions
Guest Shangri-La Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 i've heard somewhere that he don't have a contract with warner anymore...or something like that True, but they could have gotten him to produce them if they wanted. Butch Vig kinda sucks.
DeJennsitized Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I would have to hear the album in its entirety before I can ask a question about the songs/music. All these title changes and song additions/removals have me totally confused. I think my question right now would be something like "how would you compare this album to the others; musically, lyrically, the time it took to record, how enjoyable it was, how happy you were with the final sound etc?"
Eirik Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 True, but they could have gotten him to produce them if they wanted. Butch Vig kinda sucks. He's also working on other stuff, I believe. Oh, yeah, now I remember, the Paramore record.
Juan Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 He's also working on other stuff, I believe. paramore and David Cook
Guest Shangri-La Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 paramore and David Cookoh ewww. this proves my point.
Juan Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 oh ewww. this proves my point.no, that what Rob's producing
Juan Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I like Paramore, though, David Cook killed My Hero AND Eleanor Rigby
Eirik Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 David Cook killed My Hero AND Eleanor RigbyHaven't heard either of those, and judging by what you think of them, I'm not going to.
rage-love-life Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I would ask what songs were hardest to write, how they felt they did living up to AI's success (after it was released) and why did they chose Butch Vig.
Hermione Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I would say, why the hell didn't you play any secret shows anywhere else but fucking California! This!
Juan Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I'd ask them although it doesn't have anything to do with 21stCB, why don't they play scattered already, instead of leaving it in the setlist every night and not playing it!
Justice Not Charity Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 i would ask billie what his favorite song off the album is. when i found out that his favorite from AI was letterbomb i was impressed because thats my favorite from AI
fashionvictim86 Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 hell yea. why cant they come to philly or ac?FUCK YEAH! The best show I've ever seen was in Philly. Many times. But the best, September 7, 2005. I was at the gate in front of the runway. Got amazing pictures.
blvd Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I'd probably asked what person in the band's surrounding that influenced the album most. Or all the songs meanings.
**nobodylikesyou** Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I would ask if they need a private massage therapist on tour with them.
dallasthemenace Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 id ask tre what his cymbal set up for this record was. specifically what crash he's playing closest to his hi hats these days.
apocalipstick Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I'd want to ask what was THE moment that inspired the album. You know how in BIAB Billie talks about going on walks and he thought of "I'm the son of rage and love, the Jesus of Suburbia" while he was on a walk? That kind of moment.
Green Jay Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Haha I thought this thread was a place to ask questions here about the album. Anyway... if I order it the CD version from HMV will it come on the day or will I have to go buy the CD in the shop? That's what I would ask Billie and that's what I am asking here.
Zalex Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I'm actually really curious as to why Billie never played piano on an album until now.
The Grateful Green Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 FUCK YEAH! The best show I've ever seen was in Philly. Many times. But the best, September 7, 2005. I was at the gate in front of the runway. Got amazing pictures.nice. all i want is for them to come to ac and play in like the house of blues or something. too bad there tearing down the spectrum :/
