Drink Drank Punk Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Yeah but maybe they would just play there for the experience and not really worry about the money, i think that could be possible tooMaybe... basically like what NOFX did. I don't know if I could really see Green Day doing that with their label and what not.
norcalgreendayfan Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Maybe... basically like what NOFX did. I don't know if I could really see Green Day doing that with their label and what not.yeah kinda like what NOFX did, but thats true i mean NOFX is with a smaller label so its easier for that but Im sure Green Day has enough pull to where they could do it, if they wanted to
Jon Benjamin Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I never thought of that it would be amusing to see but i think they could do it from anaheim to *place they are playing in the middle east*that's a great way to put it. kudos.
norcalgreendayfan Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 that's a great way to put it. kudos. Why thank you im glad you liked it

Menna's Inferno Posted May 24, 2009 Author Posted May 24, 2009 It surprises me too, you'd think fans of a band like Green Day would be less ignorant and offensive but apparantly I was mistaken. I seriously cannot believe some of the responses in this thread.I hope their stupidity doesn't spoil this site for you or stop you wanting to use it, remember not everyone here's a moron. Hope you stick around Thanks =] Green Day is still my #1 band and some Green Day fans are still the coolest people ever.I'm staying =]
norcalgreendayfan Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Thanks =] Green Day is still my #1 band and some Green Day fans are still the coolest people ever.I'm staying =]Awesome glad you are staying, I would hate to see you leave because of some ignorant jerks
Menna's Inferno Posted May 24, 2009 Author Posted May 24, 2009 Awesome glad you are staying, I would hate to see you leave because of some ignorant jerksYeah, they're not worth it.
norcalgreendayfan Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Yeah, they're not worth it.No they really arent, and most people here are cool anyways
Hermione Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Thanks =] Green Day is still my #1 band and some Green Day fans are still the coolest people ever.I'm staying =]Glad to hear it! Anyway, Green Day have been saying they'd like to play some more interesting places like China in a few interviews lately. So the chance of them playing somewhere like the Middle East or other more unusual places at some point must be higher than ever. I know it's mostly the record company that decides where Green Day tour and that's based on how much money they'll make. But if Green Day really are interested in playing a few different places then I'm sure it's within their power to do that. I hope they do, it'd be cool to see them broaden their horizens.
Guest Billy Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Thanks =] Green Day is still my #1 band and some Green Day fans are still the coolest people ever.I'm staying =]I'm quite offended that people here would insult people of Middle Eastern descent; I find the Mid East fascinating. They would probably play in Dubai or possibly Cairo. I wouldn't expect them to play in Tehran, although it's quite a large city. Lebanon seems like a place they would play, too. The most plausible place they would play in the Middle East in mind is Jerusalem; I think it would be Jerusalem, because the United States supports Israel. It just seems the best option.

Guest Billy Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Yeah, I think they'd go to Dubai too. Everyone goes there, really.Dubai is going to become the richest city in the world within a century. It'll also be the safest, especially when the US decides that Dubai has everything and more.I also see a possibility of them playing in Amman as well to the places you have mentioned its a great city there too and very friendly plus it would give me a reason to go see my relatives that live there as well I really can't seem them playing in Transjordan just yet; Jordan still has some problems with the peace issue and likes to mess with Lebanon. As long as they still have radicalists in top positions in the government, I can't see an American Liberal Pop-Punk band playing there. It's just too risque for their lives. I'm not saying that Transjordan is unsafe, I'm just saying there are areas better than places in the US over in the Mid-East.

I would hardly think if they did go there that there would be any danger to them at all. I have been there twice and never once felt threatened for my safety and secuirty. Trust me I think they could pull it off quite successfully
Sharmellow Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 I think the Middle East would like Green Day, especially their songs:- American Infidel- Muhammad of Suburbia- Boulevard of Blown-up BodiesJust 3 of the favourites.I know you're just trying to be funny, but I find that offensive. Even though I don't live in the Middle East, I find it offensive. :/

I know they have strong support from the US, but they still have some radical politicans. It's nothing with the people, I'm sure they're lovely.

It's nothing with the people, I'm sure they're lovely. No one calls it that anymore and if you want to call it by the appropriate name than you should be calling it the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Transjordan is an antiquated name that is no longer in use by any person or government agency
