I can't believe people are saying they will get shot if they play there because they are American. That is so fucking pathetic.

Israel is actually a very modern place and heaps of artists tour there. As for Egypt, I've been there and as long as you show some respect you aren't going to get shot. It's filled with tourists and people from all over the world.

Now if they were going to play in Pakistan, which is basically at war at the moment, then they probably aren't going to be very safe.

Talk about buying into how the media portrays the world.

Wow might be a record for most ignorance in one thread here.

I think it'd be really cool if they played somewhere over there. I know how desperate I am to see Green Day live, so the more places and more people get the chance the better!

I suppose it is mostly down to where the record company thinks most tickets will be sold unfortunately. But Green Day have recently been saying in interviews they're interested in playing some more unusual places which has got to be a good sign. They said they'd like to play China so who knows, maybe a Middle Eastern country will be next on the list.

Well you just took the prize for the most pointless and idiotic post in this thread we are all now dumber for having to be exposed to that

You obviously missed this post

I think the Middle East would like Green Day, especially their songs:

- American Infidel

- Muhammad of Suburbia

- Boulevard of Blown-up Bodies

Just 3 of the favourites.

I think they will probably get killed there

would be great if they play on a pyramid or between ruins, epic video can get out of that

Sorry to say but that made me laugh :D

I hope they'll go to Middle East and Greenland and every place where they have fans... But hey, middle east is a big place (isn't it?) so I think they'll come somewhere there (:

I don't think GD would get killed. I've been to Egypt and they didn't kill me either... Everyone was sooo nice.

Sorry. It was NOT funny.

no they will get killed

sure they will :pinch:

Every Egypt person is a terrorist. Don't go there, you will get killed!

Yeah I know they do which I dont agree with especially since I'm not muslim but any holy book is not meant to be interpreted literally and your right they probably would would get banned if they even would bother to let the in. If Green Day were ever to go to the Middle East I think they would go to Abu Dhabi, Lebanon, possibly Jordan or Egypt since those in my mind are the most likely place plus of course thats all depending if there would be enough interest for them to be able to put on a show there

Yeah, I agree. I think they'd play in Dubai, if they ever do come to the Middle East.

I have something I'd like to say to some of you.

I never, ever thought that some Green Day fans would actually be as low as you are. You're fucking disgusting. Insulting Arabs, insulting Islam, etc. Where the hell do you get off calling me or any other person in the Middle East a fucking terrorist? You're pathetic, you're low, and you're mean. I won't stoop down to your level and call you a terrorist or insult Jesus, that's fucking lame.

So fuck off and die.

And to those who defended Middle Easterns, thanks.

Bye.

Calm down love! It's nothing personal!^

No, they won't.

Because for the next 14 years, they're only playing in my back garden k?

Well, if terrorists have good taste in music now, why not? I'm sure they'd enjoy it, y'know, the brutal masacre of the crowd just to get to front and all that....Sorry, that's just the way my mind works. Middle East=terrorist land. Thanks so much sky news for planting such an optimistic and totally non-xenopohbic image of foreign lands in my mind.

Dubai is the only choice but the question is that do they have any plan about playing near us?

Posted

they should definitely come to Lebanon. :D it's the only middle-eastern non-islamic country left. (israel aside)

dubai is still too fanatic and i don't think there will be too many green day fans there.

but in Lebanon... :D thousands!!!! :D even non-green day fans would attend the concert if it's during the summer! and noone really feels offended.

I would definately fly out to see Green Day in Lebanon or almost anywhere in the Middle East if they played out there and I could afford to go, I think that would be so awesome plus being middle eastern it would be extra special to be able to go see them play out there oh and like the picture of Billie with the Lebanese Flag T-shirt thats pretty sweet

I have seen so many hollywood stars playing in Dubai or Abu Dhabi bands like coldplay or singers like shaggy. I guess they'll come there as well. Middle East is a place were Medias in all the countries have a political concentration on it and american Idiot changed green day to heros there.I'm from Iran and can't wait to see them for the first time

It surprises me too, you'd think fans of a band like Green Day would be less ignorant and offensive but apparantly I was mistaken. I seriously cannot believe some of the responses in this thread.

I hope their stupidity doesn't spoil this site for you or stop you wanting to use it, remember not everyone here's a moron. Hope you stick around :)

I think it would be an awesome experience for them but they wouldn't make much money, if any so i don't really see them playing in the middle east. But that's just my opinion.

Yeah but maybe they would just play there for the experience and not really worry about the money, i think that could be possible too
