JAS0N Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Now that i've heard KYE 50 times i'm actually really liking it - I think it will be great to see live. As for why it was picked as a single, its probably the most "mainstream" song on the album. As for Lights Out, good song but doesn't sound any better than any song off 21stCB. Good pick for a bside but nothing special for the album itself.
Sora Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I can't say it enough: this is something i look forward to!
justcause Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Thanx so much for uploading! I'm loving this, and I get the Warning comparisons - shades of Fashion Victim in there. It would've been a great first single, but I'm thinking that KYE is possibly the most positive-sounding thing on an otherwise extremely dark album - so maybe that's the why of it.Lyric -lights out, here comes the night,as the darkness falls over the lightlights out, there goes the dayand this fear that comes won't go awayand i'm losing track of timein the corners of my mindand i'm living out my private suicidelights out, i lost myselfin the space between heaven and helllights out, finding my waytill i waste my time losing the way
Peel Slowly And See Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I liked this, but I personally liked Know Your Enemy better. Every band should have a repetitive chanting-type song. I'll reserve my judgment for the release, though.

TheBullwinkle Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Apparently, "Hearts Collide" is on the single, too. Anybody have that?
Jessayy Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 It must be said its much more of a "green day" song than KYEI feel more into it...but with KYE i feel i am sitting outside it, if you know what i mean....i sink into most Green Day songs...but KYE...nah...i still LOVE it though..:D
Deniz. Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Apparently, "Hearts Collide" is on the single, too. Anybody have that? No this comes out 8th may
Peel Slowly And See Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I just dug through the topic. I don't know what you people are talking about. This is Nimrod-era stuff. Well, it has the full sound of Insomniac, but the musicianship and lyrics definitely represent Nimrod moreso than any other time period.I like it, but I still prefer Know Your Enemy more.
Mauri Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 No this comes out 8th may Didn't someone from the forum say he/she had gotten the maxi single yesterday??
