chickin'pickin' Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 YAY!!!!! THE OLD GREEN DAY IS BAAAAACCKKKK!!!!!!FUCK KNOW YOUR EMEMY, LIGHTS OUT RULES!!!!If this person is being entirely sincere, Then I like him.Lights out is a million times the song Know your Enemy is. Which I think needs to be forgotten asap, it's terrible.

cabot_girl Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I actually like the preview of Lights Out, alot more than I like Know your enemy the entire song.....
Hermione Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 If this person is being entirely sincere, Then I like him.Lights out is a million times the song Know your Enemy is. Which I think needs to be forgotten asap, it's terrible.Know Your Enemy is wonderful
Kaddi. Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Really? The thread about b-sides says it's not out yet.Yeah, it's on the single which was released today. There's only KYE and Lights Out on it... I dunno if it's the same in the UK and the US though
chickin'pickin' Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Know Your Enemy is wonderful You're easy to please, then.Any potential fella of yours is a lucky guy indeed.
Lady Liberty Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Sounds awesome, reminds me of our good ol' Dookie roots. So so so much better than the shitty single.
jim92 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 it's a beautifull song ..it's like a dookie's song...it's awesome but know your enemy it's so great!!!
Dylan. Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Lights Out sounds good but I think I'm gonna have to hear the whole thing before I can judge it. It's kinda weird.
Hermione Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 You're easy to please, then.Any potential fella of yours is a lucky guy indeed.Green Day have earned my easiness
chickin'pickin' Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I think they know this, if their terribly lazy latest single is anything to go by
Eirik Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Aweeeeesome. I gotta agree that it sounds better than Know Your Enemy.
Marlon_GD Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I'll probably end up buying the Know Your Enemy single, for like 45% for KYE, and 55% for Lights Out. I think it's a great song, I just NEED more!! It's a clean, brushed-off Dookie song
greendepent Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Know Your Enemy is wonderful maybe, but Lights Out is the song that I've been waiting. and again, LIGHTS OUT RULES!!!!!
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Awesome And yeah, better than Know Your Enemy (:Thanks!
djrossstar Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Here's my theory on Know Your Enemy:It's a good song, but I would have never chosen it as a single. It reminds me of both 'Jaded' and 'Jinx,' because both songs are good, but are even better when played with their counterpart (Brainstew/Haushinka). KYE sounds like a song that should have come after a much bigger song, and cut down to around 1 minute and 30 seconds. You will always hear Brainstew on the radio, or even Brainstew/Jaded, but you would never hear just Jaded. It just wouldn't have the same effect on the listener. Anyone agree with me?DJ Rossstar
Hermione Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I think they know this, if their terribly lazy latest single is anything to go by Psh for that spectacular scream alone they can spend the night

Anyone agree with me?DJ RossstarYeah, I would have never thought of that. But now that you say it- yes. I really do agree with that.
