steelthorne Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 i think it sounds like warning mixed with the network
Justice Not Charity Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 lights out sounds like the network trying to record a dookie sounding song during the warning era.
Tiffx Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Welcome to yesterday.Thanksyeah I've been out of it, too much going on around here.
*withoutadoubt* Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I am loving both songs so much. KYE just gets in my head and doesn't want to leave, lol. And Lights Out is great in it's own right - B-side or not. I am just so happy to have new Green Day music again.

The debate has went on today at my house as to which is better. We appear to be a bit divided.

parinaz Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Don't get your hopes up. Probably just a nice treat for the fans, but the album won't be anything like it. "Hearts Collide" might be similar though. But yeah...Billie said they wanted to take a step forward. That would be a step backwards.I should agree with you.
**nobodylikesyou** Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Does anybody have the lyrics to this song?i dew i got them from starbugwant them?
**nobodylikesyou** Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Lights outHere comes the nightAs the darkness falls over the lightsLights out! There goes the dayand this fear that comes won't go awaywell I'm losing track of timein the corners of my mindand I'm living out my private suicideLights out!I lost myselfin the space between heaven and hellLights out!I'm in my wayDid I waste my time, losing the way?Well I'm losing track of timein the corners of my mindand I'm living out my private suicideLights out!Lights out! Here comes the nightas the darkness falls over the lightsLights out!I lost myselfin the space between heaven and hellWell I'm losing track of timeIn the corners of my mindand I'm living out my private suicide

rymenocerous Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 AH. I love it! I can't believe its only a b-side! Its got a very Longview feel, with its heavy repeating drum and deep bass.
LetItBeHappy Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 It's like the mix between Shenanigans and American Idiot (L)
*withoutadoubt* Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I'm with you Cheryl, just so happy to FINALLY have some new music to dig on. The debate has went on today at my house as to which is better. We appear to be a bit divided.I don't know which is better, tbh. I like them both, and I think for different reasons. They are both different, sounds, feels, I dunno - I love them both the same. When we have umpteen others to compare them to, then I'll decide on a favorite. I think these songs are gonna be the same as all their other songs, tho - I'm gonna have different favorites depending on my mood.
Moxy Crimefighter Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 whatever it is, it has a beat that you can make love to.*I apologeize for my mind being in the gutter today*
Walking Alone Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Personally I think Lights Out>Know Your Enemy. And I liked Know Your Enemy. I can't believe this is only a b side...gives me great expectations for the rest of the album. Knowing Green Day's awesome work I won't be disappointed.
