Jessayy Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I just tried setting it to record on our Sky box, but i'll have to wait til tomorrow to see it listed. Won't it be 4am on the 25th for people in the UK?yeah, maby, i probably miscalculatedas usual...
The Disappearing Boy Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Guys this isn't your personal chat room, IM eachother if you just want to chat back and forth about nothing anyone cares about. This is the reason these threads become 70 pages long and people need to take a whole Sunday to read through them to get the info they want.you now a mod or something?
Guitar4Girl Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I think some people are interested in the chart position of KYE and what time and when the video will be on.
Alan86 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I don`t think green day will be that interested in the singles chart. Its all about the album chart.
Guitar4Girl Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 But if they do well with the single that will gain them some interest therefore making people more likely to consider buying the album.
Jessayy Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I don`t think green day will be that interested in the singles chart. Its all about the album chart.which is like number 4 on iTunes alreaddy and its not even released...a good first single can influence album sales though...
farley drexel hatcher Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I wouldn't expect anything from the charts this week. Songs usually come out on a Monday/Tuesday and have longer to sell, and this has only been out since last night. Plus I still think the promotion for it has been royally messed up.
Alan86 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Yeah thats true, I think the single will do well anyway.

Plus I still think the promotion for it has been royally messed up.I couldn't agree more, have you seen anything in the UK for this single or album yet at all? Newspapers, tv? I am a bit worried it might all pass people by, because it seems to me that unless you use the internet or buy a few specialist music mags you won't know anything about this. I expected a full scale promo tour happening by now but nothing. It's all very strange.
Guitar4Girl Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I can't actually see the album on the UK Itunes chart at the moment, but KYE single is at no.17!

Nova-Caine Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 yeah thats interesting. there has been virtually nothing over here, bar a little airplay and one interview on radio 1I need to start listening to the Radio but I hate Radio 1, Kerrang will obviously play it, but they play too much MCR for my liking
Guitar4Girl Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 yeah thats interesting. there has been virtually nothing over here, bar a little airplay and one interview on radio 1^ Interview? Who with?

I expected a full scale promo tour happening by now but nothing. It's all very strange. It is, and it doesn't help that there are no music shows on TV anymore. When AI came out we had TOTP, CDUk, various shows on Channel 4, and I know they're all a bit lame but it counted for a massive amount of exposure. I still think the video should have come out already, and not playing the song on the radio till the day of release really is baffling! I'm thinking they're probably going to save the promo tour till now the album and hopefully it'll make up for it. Plus the video will be all over every channel by next weekend, i'm sureAnd well, if the song is at 17 on the iTunes chart after one night and virtually no airplay it can't be doing too bad, I suppose

As naff as they were I actually miss CDUK and TOTP. I am guessing they will be on Gonzo at some point soon, but where else can they play/be interviewed? This Country needs a kick up the arse with regards to its Terrestrial entertainment.
Guitar4Girl Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I remember watching them on TOTP, I wish that show was still on. There's something still on Channel 4 isn't there?I just hope they don't decide to play on the X Factor, that's where i've seen most artists play recently...
farley drexel hatcher Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 The only shows are Jools Holland and Jonathan Ross and I can't see them being on that. Unless they just perform. It's pretty bad that unless you have Sky you've got nothing and even on there, there aren't really any shows they can go on. X Factor would be hilarious.
Guitar4Girl Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Apparently they are going to be on Jools Holland.Green Day + X Factor = LOL
Jessayy Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 yeah...but every few nights on Q (music channel) they have like Top 20 Green Day or Green Day All the Videos or whatever because of there Green Day Month........so i quite enjoy sitting by myself watching them when they are on haha
Nova-Caine Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Well I am applying for all the Jools Hollands I can, hopefully we can find out which one they will be on soon etc. I think it was supposed to be in May but can't remember.

I expected a full scale promo tour happening by now but nothing. It's all very strange.I agree with both yours and Lorraine's statements. It seems as if Warner really have taken a backseat in promoting this new single. If we all weren't so well informed through here and the Idiot Club, not many people would actually know the release of it. It's actually annoying that nothing has gone on promotion wise, I'm a promoter myself and have been for the past 3 years almost, and even I could do a better job than that. The promoters for Green Day suck huge asshole for not doing anything with 'Know Your Enemy.'
Jessayy Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Green Day + X Factor = LOLim sorry but that would be fucking amazing simon cowel wouldnt have it though :/and i know its seems a long way away but wouldnt it be magical if they did Christmas TOTP...very unlikely but...
