Maybe....the two are the same!!!! This is interesting!^^ That's gonna get hell from the mods.
Peel Slowly And See Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 That torrent page is crawling with Malware. Also, why torrent it when you get the same quality by downloading it elsewhere? Also, the demo is way old.
Nikki. Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 The first file is Know Your Enemy and the second is the demo of 21st Century Breakdown, so you should probably take the link down since we aren't allowed to link to the 21st CB demo.is it okay to say i have it available if anyone would like it they can PM me or message me on my msnnikki_boo_bear@live.com

Mayra Vicious Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Yeah finally iTunes Norway got the song I love the song very much It's my new favourite song
RattleSnake Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I just heard it live on my local radio station, The Rock at 8:05am (ahhhh it's nice living close to the International Date Line hehehe). Very cool. I agree with those who say it's very poppy and 'radio-friendly', but hey, it's Green Day! It's fucking cool to get those goosebumps from them again. After the song played, the announcer confirmed that Green Day will be playing in Los Angeles in May.
MusicalDeviant Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Does anyone else hate the fact that the song ends so abruptly? Look at JOS as an example, as it leads up to its ending, and while it ends on a single beat, the beat itself is a culmination of beats, rather than just a random end.Same with "She's a Rebel," as well as with "When I Come Around." Sorry, I really hate when songs have abrupt endings that don't flow with the rest of the song. In my opinion, it makes the song sound as if it has unfinished business, as if we're not getting the entirety of it.This probably means that Know Your Enemy will lead into the next song on the album. Still, when songs on American Idiot led into each other, as many of them did, Green Day ended songs so that while it made the leading-in sound logical and a progression of the song that comes first, the songs could also be made into singles and still sound like complete, singular songs. Also, the repetitiveness of this song is irritating. And only one verse? What the fuck is up with that? From as long as I can tell, song shorter than JOS or Homecoming usually had two versus, and two choruses, followed by some sort of instrumental period, followed by either an new, conclusionary verse, a repetition of a prior verse, or a slight variation of a prior verse. This song sounds mildly lazy. It didn't live, but when an album is played in its entirety live, in one shot, the flow of songs into each other and the cohesiveness of the material as a whole eliminates the possibility of songs sounding lazy. All that being said, I'm a sucker for Green Day harmonies, and the "you'll be blinded by the light in your eyes" is really satisfying, and is probably one of their better harmonies on an official album (I exclude live albums from this).

Dylan. Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I gave in and preordered the album which gave a free download of Know Your Enemy
tq6993 Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 i can sum up Know Your Enemy in less than one word: meh. its an ok song. but it seems like its missing something. it cant quite stand on its own. it sounds as if its part of something bigger, its like if they released Dearly Beloved from J.O.S. as a single on its own. still a good song though!

Colin Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 iTunes version is on some p2p sites. God bless illegal downloads.
Starbug Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I wish Dearly Beloved would have been extended and made into it's own song. That would've been nice But at this point, I can't imagine JOS without it.
Dylan. Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 That would've been nice But at this point, I can't imagine JOS without it.Yeah, I know but part of me wishes JOS would have just been extended into a song just like itself and the rest of the songs would have been made into their own songs as well. There's no such thing as too much when it comes to Green Day(except for Warning)
