Katarina. Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Uhmokay. I really don't get you now To refer to your post, I thought it was about downloading illegally or so, you said you stopped talking, like, about the most embarrassing part.. xD That was the part I didn't understand, so I commented
Jessayy Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I love the sooong:Pits a lot better than the preveiws i must say....i wonder will it get a good Chart Position......
Dai. Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I'll hook you up, just PM me Thanks, but I already got it Trying to cut off the radio part at the beginning right now.
TheBullwinkle Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Massively disappointed with Know Your Enemy. It's a blatant radio-friendly choice to guarantee airplay and thus sales.Viva La Gloria would have made a MUCH better first single.I'm a little disappointed, too, but it's still new Green Day.I'd like to see "East Jesus Nowhere" as a single.
Starbug Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Why does the physical CD available for preorder of the single cost £4.89 on Amazon, it's only got 1 song on it. That's probably half the album price....I bought mine from here...www.grooves-inc.com and it has another track w/ it, called 'Lights Out' I believe. Bought it last night. It's about the same price, plus shipping.
Rita Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I like it but tbh I'm quite disappointed. I liked the drums in the beginning, but the rest of the song is meh.
Beathe. Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Listend to the song on Youtube. I like the song and all, but it reminds me of American Idiot.
Starbug Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I love the sooong:Pits a lot better than the preveiws i must say....i wonder will it get a good Chart Position......I'm sure it'll do decently enough at first, until people get sick of hearing it. It's a bit repetitive :/ But I still like it. It's new Green Day. Something about it reminds me of something else, but I can't place it...
Jessayy Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I'm a little disappointed, too, but it's still new Green Day.I'd like to see "East Jesus Nowhere" as a single.yeah at first i like basicly didnt like Know Your Enemy like and it kinda upset me but like after a few listens it grew on me a lot....i love it haha
Another Urchin Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 When I heard the preview, I was worried. It sounded repetitive without much going on (and, at the same time, the mid-tempo pace doesn't have the fury and energy that could make up for that). Now that I've heard the whole thing, it's not much better, but I do like the new parts (I think the bridge is pretty kick ass). Does that mean I'm worried about the album? Not at all. I just think this song doesn't stand out as much as a first single should. It's catchy and has a good bridge, so I don't hate it. But I think there are probably better songs on this album.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 To refer to your post, I thought it was about downloading illegally or so, you said you stopped talking, like, about the most embarrassing part.. xD That was the part I didn't understand, so I commented Ah, okay, of course! *tries to act like she understands it*
Katarina. Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I'd like to see "East Jesus Nowhere" as a single.Me too! That would be a great single. I wouldn't be surprised if Murder City or Christian's Inferno will become the next singles though..
Bastard of 1967 Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Thanks for clearing that up. Just seemed to me like they were trying to pick up an extra 30 cents on everyone, which amounts to a lot of money when you have possibly millions of people downloading it.So does that mean if I pre-order the entire album on iTunes it will come DRM free, or what?I *think* that's supposed to be the deal, but don't quote me on that. My expectation is that after the album is actually released and the grayed-out tracks all light up, they'll all be priced at $1.29ea. Personally, I'm going to wait til release day and buy the CD itself locally (I want the physical insert itself, not the PDF scan of it)....then rip the sucker and put it on the iPod.
Jessayy Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I'm sure it'll do decently enough at first, until people get sick of hearing it. It's a bit repetitive :/ But I still like it. It's new Green Day. Something about it reminds me of something else, but I can't place it...yeah i know people were saying it was very simular to some ACDC songbut sure i wouldnt know.... yeahh i bet they release a delebrit chart topper as the 2nd single.....
TheBullwinkle Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Me too! That would be a great single. I wouldn't be surprised if Murder City or Christian's Inferno will become the next singles though..Yeah, "East Jesus Nowhere" is just such a ball-stomper. I really wanna hear that on the radio. My bet's on "Murder City" for the next single.
Kryssi. Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 As much as I love it, I also think it's too radio friendly for them to be releasing. I'm sure there are more powerful songs on the record that would've made more of an impact for a first record than this...
Katarina. Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Ah, okay, of course! *tries to act like she understands it**tries to do so as well*Yeah, "East Jesus Nowhere" is just such a ball-stomper. I really wanna hear that on the radio. My bet's on "Murder City" for the next single.Yeah, Murder City has a good chance here..BUT, if East Jesus Nowhere will be the next one, I'll be blown away already Can't wait to hear the album!
pooldude256 Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I'm a little disappointed, too, but it's still new Green Day.I'd like to see "East Jesus Nowhere" as a single.Yes, that one sounds very epic.

Starbug Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Yes, that one sounds very epic.Yes, it does. There are a couple I've heard that sound epic. I think, so far, Murder City has to be my favorite that I've heard. I just love it. Can't wait to hear the full studio version.
Guitar4Girl Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Anyone heard it being played on any of the UK radio stations yet?
