GreenPunkPrincess Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 i want it to... but i couldnt find it anywhereI was listening to it and when I've pushed the right button of my mouse I've see "save it as" ,So I saved it...
**nobodylikesyou** Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 People were posting the demo links in the comments of my news post.I deleted them. That was a good idea!!!
farley drexel hatcher Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 See that's all you really need to worry about, the demo links. Warner hasn't said anything about the single. Of course everyone should make sure they buy it when it comes on iTunes/Amazon.I think the single is even worse than the demo because you can actually buy it - or at least, you will be able to.
arrie44 Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I think you're right. It's meant to be a bit repetitive I think. For the album's sake.I agree it should fit great in the album, but as a lead single to promote the album it was a horrible choice. The general alternative music public will be sick of this song in 1 week. It might get in the Alternative Rock Top 10 once, maybe. Bad choice WB.Green Day is like my home team and I want to see them do good!
kongomorgo Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I think the single is even worse than the demo because you can actually buy it - or at least, you will be able to.yeah but when ....
Kate Austen Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Oh also, I think this song would be great live.
fashionvictim86 Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Call me crazy, but even though I downloaded the song, I'm still gonna buy it. I wanna support my favorite band! And believe me, I don't pay for music too often.
Jaymee!! Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 haha I just picked up the single after that kid posted the 3 links...which was shortly after deleted.Maaaan I'm lucky today I enjoy it. It's catchy, bouncy, makes me want to get up and jump and shake and dance around my room. If the rest of the cd is like this, I will be overly pleased.

East Jesus Nowhere would have been my pick for the first single, but maybe that's cause I just want to hear it
Kate Austen Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Yeah, I can already see people hating this song. The general public will get sick of it fast (due to the repetitive nature). Sigh, now I will have to hear my friends bitch about Green Day saturation. At least with American Idiot, all the singles were pretty damn good to be over played.

Haha, me neither :whistling: Yeah once whoever is taking their time with this makes up their minds on when to put it up for purchase, I will buy it. 99 cents or whatever is hardly much to ask.
Kryssi. Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I hope this shit drops on iTunes at midnight tonight here... like I said previously. I NEED to buy this and support the Home Team... although they're quite far from the place I call home.. whatever

Yeah me too, I probably won't pay to download it again, i'll admit that, but since i'm buying the CD single and the album and whatnot I don't really mind. They'll be getting enough money out of me this year xD
peepee Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Agreed. I think as a song it's really just okay. Def not up there with their best. I think people are just really excited (as you said). I have a good feeling once the dust settles (after a month after release of the album) - Know Your Enemy will be one of the weaker songs on the album.Just my prediction.I couldnt agree more. It is not a very good song in my opinion. Too repetative and not as catchy as american idiot. I believe it was a bad choice. Usually their second single choice is usually the best.

Dookie93 Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Is there is a link to download it, I would love it please.
Mr. Nimrod Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 The song is amazing....kinda pissed I stayed up till four for nothing but once iTunes has it I will pay for it =]
mechanicalman Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I haven't heard it yet, but I'm presuming Radio 1 will play it to death by the weekend.
sebastianwastaken Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 PLEASE i will die if i don't listen to it today u.u
Tek Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I removed all the download links I could find. Me and Leanne figured this morning (there was no one else on) that it's best to be on the safe side. Don't want to get sued.I ran a site similar to this from 97 until 2007. ( it wasn't based on Green Day, but it was based on a National Recording Music Artist and Label ) The label never minded singles, it was the people on the forum that would post links to download the entire album that was freaked out about. Singles were looked at as a way of promoting the album, group and label, so I never had any issues with that. However that was with Universal, not Warner...so they might have different policies about that.
Kate Austen Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 You saying it isn't good? I like it. I just don't think it's as good as any of the singles off American Idiot. Then again, I personally think this new album is going to be a more serious/dark album then AI that will be prolific and epic. I haven't heard the album, but based off the lyrics (and clips i've heard) - it's going to be different then AI.Which is a great thing. I hate when bands re-hash the same stuff. However, on the subject of singles - I just agree with the people that say this song will get old FAST for the general public. Maybe not for Green Day fans, but for people that have to hear it on the radio or TV all the time.
