farley drexel hatcher Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Wicked recap, I agree about NME's, it was shoddy in comparison to yours
Ivy Ramsbottom Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Kat-fantastic review-made me feel like I was upfront instead of where I was-hope I get to experience some of what you did some day!
Hermione Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Can I just agree with everyone here and say that was the most fabulous review ever! Gotta be the next best thing to being there, lots of very interesting details too
*withoutadoubt* Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Kat, first of all, welcome to the forum! Secondly, that was a great review!!! Thanks so much for sharing all of that, especially all the little details.
Robin105 Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 That sounded like an awesome show. I want to be up front too cause I'm short and it's hard for me to see. I guess I'll just have to push my way through. How do you get to the front anyway? It's like impossible
achtungkatie Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 That sounded like an awesome show. I want to be up front too cause I'm short and it's hard for me to see. I guess I'll just have to push my way through. How do you get to the front anyway? It's like impossibleNaw, you don't push your way up... or at least, you shouldn't. People down front got there first; my friends and I waited outside all fucking day long. We had sunscreen, umbrellas, water-bottles, the works. I'll probably camp outside the venue the night beforehand during the big shows, just to be able to be down on the barrier. I actually like doing it that way; it makes the concert a day-long event for me, instead of just one night. And there is nothing at all like being down front close to the band.Of course, not everyone is a lunatic like I am...
**nobodylikesyou** Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Of course, not everyone is a lunatic like I am...or are we?????
Anja Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 You! I do in fact remember you, dear. Thanks for reading, I'm glad you enjoyed. Maybe we'll meet up again at some future show, yeah? Well, as far as I know there is one more so chances are big that we meet again Btw: I just remembered that this guy I met while waiting outside told me that he went backstage with the band after the show and drank with them. And he is even younger than I am I should have stay with him and Eggplant

And he is even younger than I am I should have stay with him and Eggplant If you have any idea when that last chance is, I'd be much obliged, lady! I've been tryin' to find out all week. *grumps* Message me? and ARRRRRRRGH... I'm so doing that next time. I was just so annihilated from getting my ass kicked in the pit (After waiting around outside all day!) that I just HAD to go home and crash, ugh. Haha!
ImnotaDrIjustPlayOneOnTV Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 That was so detailed and good I had to read it twice. Serious gratification, thank you!

punkinhead Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Mary, Bren and I all got sticks; we got MULTIPLE sticks, actually, and passed our extras out to our line-buddies who had waited faithfully with us. (The roadies were just kind of chucking all the sticks at the crowd, ow.)Hey, Kat, thanks for coming to the forums, for your epic post/recap, for being you, and for the drumstick. I'll reply more properly later, but again, thanks. The Uptown show was so amazing (or as I was calling it, The Kat Show). Afterwards as I was starting to catalog my injuries and grasp the fact of what I'd just seen and all that had happened, I saw your arm shoot in the air, holding one of Tre's drumsticks and heard you say "DIANE?!" More shock and awe. Thanks SO much for the memento. I'm not really one to go after stuff like that--didn't think I cared much, hah!--so I treasure it all the more. And touch it a lot :-) It sits here on my coffee table reminding me every day that we really were there. You and Green Day rock!!!!!!!!!!!
greendaytone Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Just got to read achtungkatie's recap... superb! Green Day making dreams come true, again! Thanks for that, great detail. Sounds like they're on fire (like in the KYE video!)
Korky Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 I just finished reading it as well. Fantastic! Thanks for sharing, Kat, and a belated welcome to the forums!
