You caught me in this picture. And thanks for the review, I'm still too tired to write about it.

My body is really really tired. But my mind is still racing.

I'm almost sort of sad that this came and went. The last two days have been such a flash.

I forgot to mention the controversy regarding who was actually first in line. This guy with his family insisted he was first, but spent the entire time in his car parked in front of the theater, rather than actually in the line, which in my opinion doesn't count.

When the true first in line people from the fan club spoke up, the guy started putting up a fight. He accused them of lying and such, and acted really immaturely. His daughter was understandably mortified. His wife was understandably irritated. His son just sighed heavily. Whatever. Also, I was the fourth idiot club member in line. Four is my lucky number. What are the odds?

My brain hurts, but I'm not having that much trouble functioning. :/

I'm sad that it went so fast, too, but it's definitely been my most memorable Green Day experience.

True. I consider Foxboro at the Roxy to be the best experience I had, considering I danced up on stage with them and held them and got Mike's pick. But this show is a part of history. I feel special.

Yeah, this show will definitely go down in Green Day history, it's a pretty big deal. Plus we were sort of treated like VIP.

^^

I'm glad you got a picture of the theater sign! I was going to take a picture of it several times, but I kept forgetting.

That's a funny story about Jason standing by the merch table. I, too, hate it when people act like they love a band and don't know any of their old songs. It bothered me that many people around me weren't singing along to Going to Pasalacqua or even She.

I wrote a bit about the show, but it was several pages back, I think.

Emphasis on 'sort of.' But it beat being general admission.

Also, I forgot to mention billie joe messed up on a couple songs, including Welcome to Paradise, St. Jimmy (I think), and I cant remember which other song.

I fucking forgot the lyrics to Going to Pasalacqua and She. I'm out of practice, and school and life have caused me to forget lyrics. I did She okay, and barely managed through Going to Pasalacqua.

Oh, that sucks. :-p

Billie Joe totally messed up the lyrics to Homecoming; the East 12th St. part.

After the line "at the facility on East 12th St." he skipped the next line and went straight to "he'd rather be doing something else now,"

which caused him to have to sing "he had enough and she had plenty" twice. :-D

I hear ya. It shouldn't piss me off, but it does, when little fucking kids go who have never even heard any songs before AI, let alone were born when Dookie was out, and they get to go to something special like this. Well not so much big deal as you weren't born when Dookie was out, but if you did become a fan with AI, listen to the other fucking albums!

i don't really mind about that, cause they obviously care enough about the band to find out that they're playing a secret gig, but it's the fact that all the shows have been in California that kinda gets me. I can do nothing to get over there and a lot of other people are in the same situation.

I enjoyed the DNA so much more. I guess because I was getting sick for this one that I couldn't enjoy it. But I liked the intimate setting, the interaction with the crowd, the first time seeing them, and being squished didn't mean girls' hips pressing into me trying to get in front. They let Billie Joe's sister in law and her boyfriend come up closer, which was right in front of me. She made out with her boyfriend constantly but let me back up to stand behind my daughter. My arms are sore today trying to lock in our place.

Did anyone talk about the crappy staff? Total jerks, well most of them. I got some pictures I'll put up tomorrow. Got about 9...and the reason I stopped is my last pic I caught the eye of Mike D. He didn't give me the evil eye, but a long, fixed stare -- enough to let me know he saw my flash.

I feel the EXACT same way. This is pretty much killing me.

Was it the guy with the beard and the kind 40-ish looking lady on the left hand side? I thought they were disgusting. At one point, her boobs were on my shoulders and I was like dude, get the fuck off me.

Yeah, she had curly brown hair and it would be tickling my neck...when I look over she was making out the guy that was in need of a shower.

I couldn't be more jealous right now, seriously..........but I still like hearing all the little details of the shows. It's so cool that there's other people who get as much enjoyment from the band as me. Reading their reviews is the next best thing, and their excitement rubs off on me and makes me look forward to when I finally get to see the boys for myself even more. It's an appetizer to the delicious main course :D

Tee hee, Billie messing up lyrics makes me smile.

That was BJ's sister-in-law? She kept trying to knock me off of the barrier so she could have my place. She was elbowing me in the head constantly. Drunk and obnoxious bitch. She talked through all of the quiet songs. She was in arguments with everyone around her but she was friends with the head of security so they didn't do anything. He had a set list to see the order so they would know when it was ending and he gave it to her. So undeserved. Her boyfriend kept telling her he would get her my place no matter what he had to do. Everytime he grabbed her to make out, he would grab a handful of my hair and just tug on it.

The concert was incredible, they were not.

I thought the security was nice other than that. I forgot my earplugs and they went and got me a pair and they gave Greg one of Tre's sticks.

I didn't notice these bitches, but I'm sorry. :/ I hate it when people do all they can to ruin a show for you.

I'm working on a review right now... Should I bother to post it? Or will a lynch mob come after me? :ermm:

That's right. I remember I was singing and I didn't forget the lyric, yet somehow a verse was missing from the song.

Didn't know if this was put up yet:

Fox Theater Green Day gig reviewed by Rolling Stone

also this 21st century hero fox theater full song and opening. Awesome.
