Kendall Z0MB13Z Posted April 14, 2009 Author Posted April 14, 2009 Gospel Rock.Fail. Have you ever heard of the band Mindless self indulgence?Once they were put on itunes as "christian rock"I laughed so hard I about died.LOL, and they always think they're the first person who's ever said it.Every single time my mum hears a Green Day song or I mention them, she calls them a "skiffle band".what's a skiffle?LOL, and they always think they're the first person who's ever said it.Every single time my mum hears a Green Day song or I mention them, she calls them a "skiffle band".what's a skiffle?
Hermione Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 what's a skiffle? It's a type of music, a type of music that Green Day are not. She's really just saying their music's weedy and basic. "That pathetic little skiffle outfit"
rage-love-life Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 My entire family say they suck...not really a label, though. I have a loser family.
pooldude256 Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Nick or Joe I'd do. I'd say Billie cuz I'm obsessed over him (sadly), but he's old enough to be my dad, and that would be weird. Remember the Jo Bros have purity rings, which means no sex till marriage. The guys at Green Day could care less.
xaristotlex Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Several years ago (this is when I still lived at home and swooned over Billie Joe, haha) my mom used to take great pleasure in insulting Green Day a different way every day. She did, however, enjoy referring to them as a "boy band" every time I mentioned them, which always made me furious. I can't see how anyone could possibly think of them as anything remotely resembling a boy band.
pooldude256 Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 ^WTF? Does she know anything at all about music?
rootbeersoup Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Green Day are a band comprised of boys. Boy band.
bass boy Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 i have heard them being called pop. and posers. and retards. and manyt other things that i dont agree with
mandypants19 Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 I remember this one time I was hanging out with a couple friends, and we started talking about music and stuff. I said that my favorite band was green day, and my friend kyle goes "uhm...you know their singer's gay right?!". haha it was kinda funny, not only because he thought that billie was gay, but also because he thought that billie's sexuality would take away from the quality of green day's music.
Robin105 Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 ^ that happened to me. I was talking to this one girl when I was in high school and she goes "Which one is gay? I forgot." I was like "None! There all married with kids." All she said was "Oh."
GreenDayrocks!!!! Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 No! I win. I have THE STRANGEST label ever.My freiend hates Green Day and one time she was making fun of them and she called them "Bubblegum Emo"Then I called her a hoe and punched her, I made her nose bleed. Opps.

Sanah Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Gay DayMy brother always refers to them as that, yet I always become extremely flustered when he does.
Seedless_Reject Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 I've heard: emo, pop, and sell-out** sell-out for some reason this one irritates me the most. My Financial Lit teacher called them that when he saw my T-shirt that i was wearing. I slammed his door and a couple of things that were on it fell on the floor, to this day he holds it against me.

Seedless_Reject Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Probably because you're a bit immature?with the door slamming thing? or the getting mad at people calling them sell-outs?I agree that i can be immature with the ways I express my anger/frustrations at times. so that could go with the door slamming
NowhereBound Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 well i was watching videos on youtube and in alot of the comments people referred to them as F*** and they were also called emo... I think that is so dumb and neither of those two comments are true... it makes me mad!

It's just someone's opinion (not really directing this only towards you, definitely towards the bubblegum puncher and others as well)
Seedless_Reject Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Door slamming... It's just someone's opinion (not really directing this only towards you, definitely towards the bubblegum puncher and others as well)it's okay either way
billie-joe-geek72 Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 I don't really hear strange labels. But I remember once in grade 5, I went to my friends house and she started switching the lyrics in Boulevard Of Broken Dreams to something along the lines of "I walk this gay-ay road on the boulevard of gay-ay dreams". I can't exactly remember. But I laughed for so long cause it was the most immature thing ever.
