What happened to March of the Dogs? Does anyone know if the name just changed or if it just got taken out?

you know this marks the transition from "experience" lyrics to "narrative" lyrics, i feel it's sorta like The Boss kind of thing

This just marks the beginning of Green Day getting "Springsteen" big

springsteen?

do you realize this is their fuckin back in black?

Is anyone else fighting desperately to not read the lyrics? I really want to wait until we have the music to go with it.

I need to get off the computer, I'm quickly losing my willpower.

Ah, yeah I missed that info somewhere. Thanks a bunch! :)

I also have yet to read the lyrics.

The site looks wicked cool.

What they posted still doesn't clarify the words after "Well, gotta know the enemy" in Know Your Enemy :/ If it's worth another guess, my mom thinks it's "they're here" as in, the enemy is here. Makes sense to me. It's another theory to be thrown around if it hasn't been already.

Need to type them out so I can add them to GDA

here's the page I'm working on

http://www.greendayauthority.com/newalbum/lyrics.php

I'm typing up the lyrics so it's easier for everyone to read and look through

Bless you, Andres :) I'll have to wait for you to type them up before I can read them :/ I managed to read one, though. EJN is nowhere near as bad as I expected it to be

I IS SO EXCITED! :woot:

It's their Sgt. Pepper's :) Maybe. We'll see how good the music is, but so far, these lyrics seem so vastly different than anything they've done before, really, at least to me. I haven't read them all yet.

N word is in Mass Hysteria. And Anja, you saw them live, what'd they say about the version of Viva La Gloria we have video of? Was it part of another song?

WOAH

"It's just a bunch of niggers throwing gas in the air" (Mass Hysteria)

I think Green Day's going to take some serious shit for that.

Especially with a black president? Aha.

Where do you see it?

Mass Hysteria. I mean, so far I wish it'd be a little more diverse, there's a lot of chaos going on throughout the album, I'll read more so I can grasp the feel of the thing. But can definitively see how people might take this offensively, although I like it

For those wondering about the changes from the old tracklist to the new one:

See the Light=I See the Light

March of the Dogs=East Jesus Nowhere

American Eulogy=Divided into two tracks: "Mass Hysteria" & "Modern World"

¿Viva la Gloria?=[Little Girl] ¿Viva la Gloria?

Drama Queen was removed from the tracklist, and a new song called Song of the Century was added.

Although ¡Viva la Gloria! appears in Green Day's site, the artwork names it [Little Girl] ¿Viva la Gloria? so I’m guessing the correct title is the one in the artwork.
