yes I did, right before I went to party with Paul and Dave Grohl, I might play guitar next time they do something together, we were deciding if it should be a fast song or a ballad, it's gonna be a McCartney's Beatles song, no doubt about it.

I vote for Twist & Shout.

no it doesn't, I can just predict the song structure of this song

it would be a great song to do, thing is, we want to use a BEATLES song, that, as you may know, wasn't written by Lennon/McCartney

Ohhh, don't be anal.... No one but die hards would know that  I only know GD that well...

Paul has a huge moral about using only his songs, he respects his bandmates' songs that much he only covers them for special occasions (tribute to John, Concert for George) or the use of such songs is very limited per concert.

I am very anal, yes

there's no way around it. they are repeating themselves. this is American Idiot part two. they're a fucking PUNK band. it's HARD to be innovative without going overboard. So far the Warning album sounds way ballsier and cooler than Know Your Enemy and 21st Century Breakdown.

Know Your Enemy is so boring, so cheesy. This is a sad indicator that the new album won't spend the usual 6 months rotation in my CD player. Billie, what are you singing about? What in the fucking hell are you singing about? Stop trying to put the world in your hands and spew it out with attitude. The attitude is hidden behind high budget production. When I first heard that distorted filter on the vocals on Know Your Enemy, I had already written the rest of the song off and possibly the album. What are they proving by trying to sound so big? It makes no sense. This is the piece of shit song that was four years in the making? The band would earn back a lot more credibility if they just told the truth and told us that they have been scared shitless for the past four years on how to follow up American Idiot, and that this is the best they could come up with. We should have that as a written disclaimer on the new album, that they were scared and "we hope you enjoy our best effort," because that's all this crap is. Green Day is trying too hard to distance themselves from Dookie and now all I wanna do is listen to Dookie. I was all for Warning, and American Idiot was pushing it, but these guys don't even sound sincere anymore.

Thats an awful lot of judging based on 90 seconds.

I've just got up, 7.25 in the morning here in the UK. Had to check the site first thing. I think some of you have been up all night by the looks of it!

I love the clip and it has got me all fired up. I can't wait to hear the whole song. I think it sounds quite anthemic.

Another chapter begins eh?

You are eleven years old. You've probably digested the band's entire catalog within the past two years. I've spent the past fifteen years with the same 90 songs. I'd say I have a good sense of what a good Green Day song should sound like by now.

And I would love to discuss my disappointment with others. I encourage an open forum. PM me or post replies.

I like the song in total, of what I've heard at least... In special, I really like the scream...

I do find it kind of repetitive, but we'll see when the whole single hits the stores.

I'm positive towards everything, towards the demo of 21CB, Know Your Enemy and the album.

Let's just wait and see what they'll bring us... Do not forget, we still have to get to know 14,5 songs (15,5 if you believe the demo of 21CB is totally different from the album track)

So let us wait and see

You have some valid points. Hah, now I'm in the mood to listen to Dookie.

BUT I'm still looking forward to hearing the rest of KYE and the new album!
