I really hope it gets released!

That was a brilliant review, thanks for taking the time to write it :)

And I will of course be supporting the release of the DVD.

that was very well written, awesome review! I feel like I almost get a sense of what the movie is like, without having seen it. :) I love how everybody is trying hard to get this movie out for the rest of the world to see, I know I'll try my hardest to make that happen too. And you're right, GD fans seem to be the nicest people in the world. I wish I could be part of such a fan-gathering event.

Thanks so much, and thanks again to everyone who's left positive comments.

I'm sure your day to get to a fan-gathering will come around. If you want it enough, anything can happen! I'll look forward to the day we get to meet and swap Green Day stories :).

I guess you're right  I don't think there are that many 'true' GD fans over here (the ones that are willing to take a plane to some movie premiere, or stand outside a venue GD is playing :P) but I still plan to go to San Fransisco to study there for a semester, so let's just hope there'll be as much exciting stuff going on over there by that time as there is now!

Oh there are a lot of true GD fans here, but just because someone's willing to take a plane or stand outside a venue doesn't always mean they can. For example, I would have done anything to be at the Independent show Monday night, but by the time I heard about it, there was no possible way for me to get there in time. And some people can't get the money for the plane ride or the ticket - there are a lot of reasons why we don't always get to be at the shows - and it's probably a good thing, too - we could easily mob the whole show and turn it into a disaster!

So, it's not always as easy to get a big group together as we would like, but when it happens it's a lot of fun. I think the HLaHG premiere made us all realize once again how much we enjoy sharing these experience with each other.

oh yeah I know that, I would've probably hopped on a plane many times if money weren't an issue. When I said 'over here' I actually meant where I live, not GDC :) And I based that on the people I saw at the GD show I went to in 2005, where half of the crowd were people that only sang along to the American Idiot songs, and the other half only sang along to the old hits and it seemed like most people were there because they thought it'd be fun to see GD in concert but they didn't feel as strongly about the band as some of us here on GDC. Ah well, I can't wait for this fall when Green Day hits Europe again. But turning a Green Day show into some crazy disaster with a bunch of diehard fans seems fun too :P

What an enjoyable read :)

I just can't imagine not seeing HLAHG some day.

Wow thank you. That was a great review. You make me miss Green Day even more. From the way you describe it, I like it too :)

I would gladly sign that petition and I bet any other Green Day fan I know too. That's a great idea.

Woah.

When It's Time was mentioned way back when?

^Apparently. I thought that was pretty cool.

hah thanks! what does mean by "who may be the only audience that will ever view this movie" ?

Yes, Billie played When It's Time to Rob Cavallo as a possible song for AI. However, the sound quality wasn't great, so even though we got to hear this beautiful song, it was hard to understand the words. I was so happy to hear the song in the AI musical, because I could understand every word John Gallagher was singing. It's a lovely, lovely song :) .

There are no plans to release the movie, so the audience at the theater could be the only people who will ever see it (officially).

I really wanna see this. Great review.

Thanks, Lauren :).

As he concludes the song, Rob Cavallo says, "Wow. That’s great. If it fits on the album, we’ll use it."

and it didn't "fit" on the album?! pfft.

This reminds me that I still have to write my review
