Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 there's still 2 more weeks of the show and im already wistful about this thread floating away into the past. this show has been so very special for us fans and created so many memories for many of us. makes me think about the first time i went past the st. james last march to see the new AMERICAN IDIOT sign that went up and feeling so proud. oh, and bumping into mike dirnt double fisting the caffeine. weve had this wonderful physical space to give us a feeling of connection with green day, and ill be sad to see that go. so much love.

Other shows will come and go, sharing the same space, sharing the same stage, but I don't think any of us will ever forget what this show, or this band, accomplished there.

I'd read something about that it was a joke (and it would've been somewhat weird anyway to have him play the show when he can't properly sing. The man's dedicated as hell, but that's a little too much ), but I just thought I'd make sure in a more reliable source than facebook, haha.

Not just with the tour going to happen but how many of us even heard of some the cast members before the show? Who is going to try to see cast members when they get new projects? In a way, I like to think that the show gave all of us an opportunity to branch out beyond just "a Green Day musical." And with the cast, I don't feel like this bond that they've formed with each other can be broken just because they're not in the same show anymore. They have seen each other through everything and still love each other for it. They went into this show as a company of actors and the like and came out as a family. Even though this time next month, the stuff on the doors and the collage in the balcony will be gone, the well-wishings and names written on the red walls from people all around the world will be painted over, the set will have been taken down and new shows will move in quite quickly, the experience and the memories won't be forgotten. We have so much from the show and it will never be a permanent goodbye. It'll all be over next week? I feel like this is just the beginning. /Sappy Moffie is sappy

For me, it's not just frustration about not being able to see "the Green Day musical", it's also frustration about not being able to see a whole bunch of other musicals/plays because everything's happening on the other side of the pond thoough if it wasn't for this show I wouldn't have gone to see the Dutch version of Spring Awakening so I guess that's awesome

Out of four of my best friends, I am the only one who has not seen it and I'm the one who wanted to see it the most!!! But it's been a great year and we've had some great times (not together but at least separately) seeing the show on different occasions. I know they will always be some of my best memories.

They just announced it cause it wasn't on their site a few weeks ago when I was fishing around on there looking at the shows for next season!
