-Billiejoezee- Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Heh. I know you're not. I change subjects really quickly. Sorry. It's okay. I'm guessing that was a PM or something else to her. I wish I had a teleport to have him travel here though.
dria021772 Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 I'm pretty sure she's closing out the show. And sorry I never got back to your PM. I just realized I didn't. I hope you got some answers to the seat question! Thank you! That's ok no worries! I
Velocity Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Shit, I wanted to submit a video for that 1-year anniversary thing, but I just didn't have the time to do it and it was supposed to have been submitted by yesterday. Oh well.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Oh shit! I wanted to do that too but completely forgot :(
Velocity Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 "Let's make it a great green day...on the great white way. " PRICELESS

-Billiejoezee- Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Question guys, what are season tickets? http://www.centertheatregroup.org/tickets/content.aspx?id=3340
plaid ducky Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Question guys, what are season tickets? http://www.centertheatregroup.org/tickets/content.aspx?id=3340 Usually for regional theaters, they don't play the same production all the time. They have either their own productions or have one of the national tours come in. What a season is the time period of when they have these productions perform. Each theater varies in when they start their respective seasons but usually it's fall to summer like a school year.

I don't get it though because there's an option to buy season tix and single tixs....

A season ticket is for subscribers of the entire season. You pay for the privilege to buy tickets before the general public (non-subscribers) for not only "American Idiot" but all the productions. There are other things involved sometimes. A single tickets is for the general public.

plaid ducky Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 No problem. And if anyone was curious, here's Andrew!Jimmy, Justin! Will & Van!Johnny from the Saturday matinee. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1641504/kye_andrew.mp3 Andrew was Jimmy until the Saturday matinee & then PJ was Jimmy for the rest of the weekend. Chase was on for Johnny for both shows on Sunday. Declan left after the Sunday matinee and won't be back until next Tuesday. Joshua Henry will be out on the 10th. Um... that's all the scheduled absences that I've heard of until the end of the run. If there are any others, I'll make note. For the record, my favorite Jimmys are in this order: TonyAndrewBilliePJChaseKobakMelissaDavey Andrew & Billie are really close as are PJ & Chase, but at this moment, that's how that goes. It'll be interesting to see Billie opposite someone not JGJ. I hope the chemistry is still there. Speaking of JGJ, I saw "Jerusalem," his new play, on Saturday. Brilliant. While Johnny has a decent amount of stage time, Mark Rylance is a god. Mackenzie Crook was great, too. The entire cast was awesome but Mark is a standout. If you're seeing Idiot and you have time to see a play as well, go rush "Jerusalem." It's $26.50 and it's the front row plus the boxes. It's a little over 3 hours but honestly, I couldn't tell.
KYLE4 Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 i am soooo sad to see AMERICAN IDIOT close on broadway... and i have been soooo annoyed when people call it a JUKEBOX musical... i wrote a BLOG post in support... check it out... http://thetheaterbuff.typepad.com/the-theater-buff/2011/04/american-idiot-we-hardly-knew-ya.html have a good night, guys!!!
jetsrule128 Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 it kind of makes me mad that after the show sunday Chase and Mikey were smoking
oda Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 it kind of makes me mad that after the show sunday Chase and Mikey were smoking Why? They're allowed to do that if they want to.
Undómiel Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 When do tickets go on sale for the tour....? Glad I do actually get to see this. I was fearful I was gonna miss it altogether.
plaid ducky Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 it kind of makes me mad that after the show sunday Chase and Mikey were smoking About half the cast smokes. It's their choice. *shrugs*
jetsrule128 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Why? They're allowed to do that if they want to. i am paying money to see a broadway show and i don't want the actors ruining there voices
plaid ducky Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 i am paying money to see a broadway show and i don't want the actors ruining there voices They all know the risk. Plus, did the cast members who smoke give a bad performance? Probably not. Like I said, about half the cast smokes. Some you would never know they did.

plaid ducky Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 no i thought Chase was better then JGJ was just shocked to see him smoking when he had another show a few hours later and in front of the fans It isn't shocking. Chase never hid his smoking. Dec and Esper didn't either. Why hide something that they aren't ashamed of? The girls don't show as much but some of them smoke too. Like I said, it's part of the business. Some smoke, some don't smoke. In the end, it's their careers/bodies. Unless it affects their performances, I don't see the correlation between them smoking and the money you paid for the show.
