All the tickets are sold out for the finale. :( I might try to go to the matinee though. That way, I'd be able to wait outside the doors in the evening and get everyone's autograph.

Just fyi, everytime I've gone and the show was supposed to have been sold out, the box office had extra tickets to sell last minute.

Premium seats are still available. The best one is front row of the mezz for $300+. Fun times... :whistle

I just checked and it said there weren't even any of that, but either way, at 300$, it's not happening.

Ok, that's good to know. I live kind of far and last-minute might be tough, but I do know some people who'd be willing to let me crash in their hotel room if I did go. :) Is there any way you can get updates about last-minute tickets?

I don't think so. It's usually just someone who works for the theater comes out and shouts that there are some seats available at the box office to purchase.

The first time was opening night, my friend and I didn't have tickets, so she ran in to buy tickets as soon as the guy announced it.

While she was in line, Billie walked in past her and she couldn't figure out why everyone was screaming

I can see the premium tickets too, and I just saw the ticket prices for that night :o

Oh, so I'd have to actually BE in New York. I could drive all the way there and maybe not even be able to see the show. =/ I guess I'll watch for GDC people saying that they're selling tickets since they can't go after all or something. If I did get desperate and went anyway, where do you wait for them to announce that there are tickets left?

Oh yeah, sorry I thought I read that you were going to the matinee so I assumed you would be there.

And just stick with the massive crowd that congregates right in front of the theater haha

Also not sure if they'll still be doing lotto that night... plaid?

They should still be doing lotto, but I heard some mumblings that they might. Standing room might be available.

I know that they're discontinuing Idiot Nation seats the last week. However, either here or elsewhere, someone mentioned that they bought front row orchestra. How they managed that, I have no clue. Heh... they definitely weren't selling them at the theatre or online.

Maybe they used there idiot nation points to get the tickets before they were discontinued

Nope. I knew someone who request April 24th evening before it was announced that the show was closing but after the announcement, they were told that she needed to pick another date.

of course she recognized you ...face it, you're a hottie in person j'net.

Hahahahahahahaha! This made me laugh so hard, Abbey - and I SO needed that right now. After working over 14 hours yesterday (getting to work at 4am to start finalizing my integration budget) and working all day today (including a 1 1/2 hour call with my boss), I think I'm a bit slap happy! Or should I say Slappy Happy? Now I'm making myself laugh. I'm going to try to stay up as long as it takes tonight to get this stuff done so I don't have to work tomorrow, too. Now I'm in a MUCH better mood to keep going.

Thanks

I'm too lazy to find the partial vid of him singing LNOE, so have Freaky Time from American Idiot's Broadway Impact concert. lol.

I was at Urban Outfitters yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to find an American Idiot Broadway tshirt in the men's section

Please, please, please do not give money to Urban Outfitters. They are owned and operated by staunch anti-choice, bible-thumping, right wing psychos. They give millions of dollars a year to pro-life and homophobic orgs. Go buy it at the theatre or online from the merchandise company itself. :)

any reports from tonight?

I have come to terms with the fact I am not going to get to see this again. It made me want to strive harder to really put myself 100% behind all of my theatre work and designs and I hope everyone who hasnt gotten a chance can see it either before it closes of on tour!

Tonight was only Aspen's last. PJ is still with the company and will probably go on again sometime soon.

Wow. I just did some reading up on Richard Hayne. I don't shop there, but thanks for the heads up.

Due to a huge miscommunication, Jason only went on for Will during the matinee on Sunday, which was sad because I heard that he was so good and alas, evening came and Justin was back and Jason's wife wasn't able to see him go on. :( But never fear, he'll hopefully get another chance soon since Justin's wife is going to pop any day now.

And for those looking for more understudy action, Jennifer will be on for Heather this coming Sunday. Don't know if it's both or only one show.

"21 Guns" from Sunday:

Rebecca!Whatsername, Libby!ExtraordinaryGirl, Jeanna!Heather, David!Tunny, Van!Johnny & Justin!Will

Van was the best that I've ever seen him. Granted it's only the 4th time, but still, he was great.

Justin settled in nicely and was amazing. Really. :)

While I did like Wallace, Josh owns "Favorite Son," even with the "You Know You Want It" line that I greatly despite.

It was my first time seeing PJ and David. PJ was fine. He had some interesting choices. He had charm which worked for the role, but something was still off. He was more towards the Billie version of Jimmy than the Tony version.

David... I've heard things about him but I wanted to go in with an open mind so I didn't listen to audio or whatever. Unfortunately, he just had a really bad night. He forgot the lines at the beginning of "City of the Damned" and then messed up the lines at the end of "Before the Lobotomy (Reprise)" I'll give him a second chance, of course, because I felt really bad for him. However, as that was my first exposure to him as Tunny, it'll stay in my mind as such. =/

It was Aspen's last night and she was given her guitar farewell. So cute when she jumped with it to play the last note.

Since they're not doing Idiot Nation lotto reservation the last week, they're doubling up the seats. So on Sunday, my friend and I both reserved a pair so that's four seats taken in the front row. Then two other friends won lotto, 3rd and 4th, so they got the other four seats in the front row, thus the entire front row was taken by my friends and me. We came up with the idea that each of us would hold up a piece of paper with a letter on it to spell out a message. We ended up spelling out "HI MIGUEL" and held it up during his solo in "Good Riddance." Ben was cracking up laughing when he saw it. Miguel just had a huge smile. It wasn't until after the fact that we realized that we should have done Aspen instead. Oops.

Overall, it was an interesting show. BTW, they're collecting again for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids. So if you're going to the show, they'll have buckets for donations as well as selling things such as signed posters & bus tickets and bracelets from broken guitars (including a limited edition one from Billie's and Melissa's strings). They'll be selling things online soon as well. This will be going on until Easter Bonnet which is April 25/26th, so they'll probably still be collecting in the finals weeks. Hopefully Billie will do the speech because it can be very creative. Here's Van's from Sunday: LINK
