plaid ducky Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 From what my friends told me: - PJ was fantastic. - David was fine; he has potential. - Josh was perfect. - Mikey!TMTS was very good. - Omar!Rep was great. - Dec!R&RBF was good. Andrew, Gerard & Miguel were out; Mikey & Omar were swung in. Obviously, they're down a guy. Heh... In Good Riddance, Josh now has the first guitar solo (it was his originally) and Van has the second (which was originally Esper's).
lizziebix Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 OMG that is so funny...Iove the Grand it has so many great memories for me! I am so excited to stay @ Andaz, my daughter loved the library last time we were there so she is happy it is right across the street! Well to be honest it is closer to the big Build-A-Bear store on 5th Ave. that has her really excited The only problem with nice hotels is that it makes it REALLY hard to want to stand outside the St. James for long periods for an autograph when you know there is a nice comfy room to go back to! Come hang out with us April 8-9-10! It would be a blast to hang out in NYC in April but it's just not going to happen. And while I'm kind of sad, I'm also not. I've seen AI 3x - twice with Tony (and Mary's last night) and once with Billie. I feel like I can wait for the tour. However, if the Plaza party ever happens, that I would definitely consider coming in for!! I love the Plaza!
Undómiel Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 "In addition to the national tour, producers are have conversations about foreign territories as well, though nothing has been finalized." Just saw this on an article from the L.A paper thing.... if it comes to London I will be so happy. Although it is not allowed to do it while I am out of the country on my gap six months (Nov 2011 - Apr 2012) I doubt it will because that's when it's on tour in the US...
sundaymorning6am Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Hey guys - My dad told me he wants to see the show (yeah, once all of the discounts go out the window, YAY) and so I'm trying to score the cheapest tickets possible for the matinee on April 10th. They have row A in the orchestra but it's partial view and Tanya and I have decided that it's not the best place to sit when you haven't seen the show before. They have 'partial view' in the third row of the mezzanine, but i didn't think, besides the boxes, there were any partial view mezz seats. Has anyone ever say on the sides in the mezz? Please PM me! Thanks!
dria021772 Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 You two will have an amazing Birthday weekend! I can't wait! Just wish I had front row next to you again
Tripe Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 I can't wait! Just wish I had front row next to you again Ha! Me too!
Nmd Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 It would be a blast to hang out in NYC in April but it's just not going to happen. And while I'm kind of sad, I'm also not. I've seen AI 3x - twice with Tony (and Mary's last night) and once with Billie. I feel like I can wait for the tour. I feel exactly the same way. I would love to go back, and when I heard the news my mind automatically tried to think of a way to see the final show. But then I calmed down and told myself 3 NYC trips to see AI is enough (once for opening night, twice for St. Billie), and I'm fortunate for being able to see it at all
solongfromthestars Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Has anyone ever bought tickets from a website other than Telecharge? I think I'm going to take a risk and go for it, but the problem is that they say they'll ship the tickets on the 22nd April, and I'll be in New York then it says they might have to be left at the box office (which would be good) but it doesn't give me an option to choose that, the only option it gives me is International Express Delivery. Will they automatically leave them at the box office? Or is this just a really bad idea? They have 'partial view' in the third row of the mezzanine, but i didn't think, besides the boxes, there were any partial view mezz seats. Has anyone ever say on the sides in the mezz? Please PM me! Thanks! I was in partial view seats on the right mezz for quite a few of the shows I saw, I was surprised at how good the seats were! They're not perfect, sometimes you can't see all of the parts on the steps (or the couch if you're on the left side), but they're still good. They were much better than partial view in the orchestra. Hope that helps!

I don't know if I would do it. You have the risk of it all being a scam and those tickets not even existing for real, the risk of them not getting to you properly, and the risk of not being able to get other tickets for that show if these don't show up. See if you can find out more. If it's a local NYC person, surely they can leave them at the box office, although I think will call is only in the name of the original purchaser and they probably ask for ID. Do you know your hotel's address yet? If it's a decent place, I think they will receive mail for guests, especially if they know you are expecting something. If they're just mailing on the 22nd, that's really tight for delivery for the 23rd, depending on where they are mailing from. The 24th is a Sunday, of course, so you lose a delivery day. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice! I decided against it and bought partial view mezz tickets. They just appeared on Telecharge after it being completely sold out an hour before! I had to borrow the money from my grandpa (oops) but I can pay him back on Wednesday so I guess it's okay. I can't believe I'm really going! I'm having to refrain myself from snivelling with happiness...
plaid ducky Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Based on Ben's FB, Carmel's last show is tonight...
plaid ducky Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 I tried looking for the American Idiot Cast Recording thread but I couldn't find it so... Does anyone know if John was the one playing the guitar for "When It's Time" or is someone else credited in the booklet?

mallorymaloney Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Based on Ben's FB, Carmel's last show is tonight... Awwww ... No more awesome conducting or knee high Chucks?! I was hoping she'd tour all about the world and I'd see her again in Toronto.

My original question was about "When It's Time." However, when you listed out John's additional guitar credits, "Good Riddance" was listed which prompted my additional comment about "Good Riddance." Not too confusing...

I was on the left a few rows back - I agree that it was much better than all the orchestra PV seats I sat in.
Nmd Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Just saw a clip on Enews about Justin Guarini in AI random, but yay

J'net Posted March 19, 2011 Author Posted March 19, 2011 Based on Ben's FB, Carmel's last show is tonight... <sighs, cries, and otherwise dies> I adore her! No one could possibly live up to her. When I met her on opening night, she immediately said, "Aren't we friends on facebook?" How amazing is she to recognize me from my facebook profile pic ... or at all? Plus, she looks SO adorable in her boots! And I love the energy she brings to her performance! Oh, Carmel!!!!! Don't go!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A little off topic but hey
Little Girl Little One Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 All the tickets are sold out for the finale. I might try to go to the matinee though. That way, I'd be able to wait outside the doors in the evening and get everyone's autograph.
