Goddamn I'm excited about this! I booked my flights today and J'Net, I looked up the hotel you booked... fuck me! It's a Hilton??? Damn you do things in STYLE! Anyone wanna meet us down the Berkeley Marina, 3am when no one will be found? LOL

It was funny when we saw Adeline Street. Andres, me, and my best friend were in a taxi, and I looked over and saw the street sign. It said Adeline Street and I was like HOLY SHIT LOOK! :lol: So I took a few pictures. Cab driver thought we were nuts.

It would definitely be nice to go over to Studio 880 with a group, I tried going by myself, and didn't quite like the part of town BART dumped me in to get there, so I got back on. If we had a car or van we could go to Christie Road.

And you forgot E 12th Street, which you can hit on the way to Studio 880.

You can enter to win two tickets to see Green Day in concert on Monday, August 24 at the Arco Arena in Sacramento along with two tickets to see any Berkeley Rep show in our 2009-10 season, which opens with Green Day’s American Idiot September 4-October 11.

In 60 words or less, tell us why you want to see both shows and email us at contest@berkeleyrep.org.

Be sure to include your contact information, and act fast: you have until 4pm today, Friday, August 21.

The winner will be selected and notified at 4:30pm today.

I just went and looked at the cast, and I've heard of most of them & saw Declan Bennet when he was on the Rent tour.

Makes me wish I could go see this even more.

I would love to see this, but I live on the compete other side of the nation than Cali, and I couldn't go to Broadway to see it. I guess I'll just have to survive off the updates you lovely people provide. :)

I really hope there's a DVD for it. I'm not sure that's an obvious thing that'll happen, or if I'm being overly optimistic, but I reeeeeeeeeeaallly want one.

Anyone living in the Bay Area...SF and or East Bay...i will be staying in Walnut Creek and using the BART system most of the time because the BART station is right near the house...I will be there for a week. Other than the obvioius things Green Day related to see, can you recommend some good restaurants? Book stores ? what to see during a tour of Berkeley? a million different things I wan't to do. You can PM me or leave me a good link etc?

Maybe I can take you out for lunch... or supper...I wil be in Cali Sep 10 to Sep 17th..

Had a wonderful look at Quartet Rouge...an all female string quartet will supply the strings section for the music!

They are like the Vitamin String Quartet and do excellent renditions of new and popular music.

Check out their site and say hi to them on Twitter and facebook...:) I love strings...of course there are other instruments like drums and bass and guitars and so forth but it will be a nice mix of music ..no canned or "synthy" stuff:) They do other concerts and other events. They have played with many famous musicians .

I just watched it and you were fabulous. Kudos, that's the way to do it, you get a chance, grab it. I also loved your falling on the floor at the end, too. :) How has the rest of Utah taken it? Did anyone interview you? Oh wait, GD is coming over, and hanging out, so who needs to be interviewed. :) It would be sad if the press didn't pick it. A lot of the really good one got interviewed, but it was mostly for JOS, I guess. Longview folks get the... short shaft, as it were. :)

And now back to your regularly scheduled programming...

Hey, playing JOS takes more skill than singing in my opinion, but there was no JOS at our show. But no, no one in our media covered my performance other than our local radio DJ. But the fans loved me so that was cool.

But yes, Green Day stopped in Berkeley to see it before they head up to Sacramento.

I just realized today that it IS the end of August, and that this musical should be starting soon, and I noticed I was so far behind on updates for it.
