**nobodylikesyou** Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 would it be possible to change the title of this thread to American Idiot Musical so when people search they can find it easier? Quote
J'net Posted June 11, 2010 Author Posted June 11, 2010 would it be possible to change the title of this thread to American Idiot Musical so when people search they can find it easier? Sure it's possible, and it's a good idea. I'll do it. I may leave both in the title, though, since the people who frequent the thread are so accustomed to this title. Quote

death_has_a_shadow Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 This morning, before I left for work, Logo aired this behind the scenes special for the musical. It made me want to see it even more (even though people are giving me shit for it). It would be an awesome birthday gift, but I don't know anyone willing to shell out that much money. Quote
lizziebix Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Can't wait to hear how you liked it. Enjoy!! Quote

plaid ducky Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Some more pictures, via the Tony Facebook Rehearsal Photo Album: A better view of the set. Based on Aspen's tweets, she'll, along with the rest of the swings & Van, will take part. Doubt Tony will, though. Indeed, the Berkeley version. Sidenote: I love Johnny's shirt with the two giant pockets on it. Heh... Quote
monkeyfish Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Looking at those pics the cast look a bit stressed out and tired no?? Quote
plaid ducky Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Looking at those pics the cast look a bit stressed out and tired no?? Well, considering that they've been doing non-stop shows since last Tuesday, had a 4:30 am call time yesterday to sing on CBS early morning, then had a softball game, then an evening show, and then Tony rehearsal today as well as a performance this evening... I would be very afraid if they weren't a little stressed out and tired. LOL. They're all looking really forward to Monday, which is there first day off in two weeks. Quote
Nmd Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 does anyone remember what was happening when theyre singing last night on earth? i was listening to the cast album and cant remember were johnny and whatsername getting high during that song? Quote

That's when they were doing their lovemaking with rubber tubing "dance" kind of thing on the raised platform. Will and Heather were together at the beginning, and he was getting annoyed with her. She separated herself and went to the other side of the stage. St. Jimmy was standing up on one of the platforms. They all sang different parts of the songs - Heather mostly singing to the baby - especially near the end. Does that help? Quote

HoneyDo666 Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 I feel kind of bad that Tony won't be performing on the Tony's...I mean, he's the only cast member not in the "American Idiot" number. T'would be cool if they did, say, two numbers? Are they performing with Green Day or do GD have their own shindig? Quote
plaid ducky Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 So, I've read two more things about the Tonys. 1) Some cast members are in the opening number of the Tonys. I've heard Chase and Christina mentioned but that's not completely confirmed. 2) Besides "American Idiot," Boulevard is now being mentioned as another song that they're doing. I can't see that being an actual cast number and John isn't nominated so I don't see him performing it for the sake of performing it plus based on the pictures from rehearsal, that's only "American Idiot" being performed. So, my guess, if both of the above are correct, is that Chase and Christina are doing some sort of BOBD thing for the opening number; Chase is a Johnny understudy and Christina's is a Whatsername understudy. But that's all guesses. We'll see on Sunday. Heh... Quote
