If we have to wait a few more years for it to come out, so be it. Besides, we're going to have a new GD album and tour. We can't give up now, we have to fight for this. I don't know whether to sign it Green Day Community or The Green Day Liberation Front in case not everyone on here agrees.

I'd like to post something on GDA telling people where they should send letters to, but I don't wanna do anything that would actually hurt John's efforts. i dunno if Warner would be bugged about it, or if he's always made any sort of progress on it with them or not. I don't think a few one-off letters from here will hurt anything, maybe catch a few eye balls. But if i posted something up on GDA and they got 200+ letters, i'm not sure if thats a reaction John wants or not. I told him just to let me know how we could be most effective and we'd be happy to help.

Again, I think it's too nice, but you don't wanna go in there w/ both guns blazing and be complete assholes to them...To Whom it May Concern: My name is Angie -----, and I am a Green Day fan. I was unable to make it to the premiere of John Roecker’s Heart Like a Hand Grenade due to financial constraints, and bad timing. I am a part of greendaycommunity.org, and in case you didn’t know, Green Day have an incredible fanbase there, and all over the world. We have been patiently (sometimes impatiently) waiting to see this film for years now, and the news it was having a big premiere in LA gave us so much hope. But then we hear that due to ‘bad timing’ (and various other reasons, not sure which one is accurate) that it would not, in fact, be released on DVD. This was heartbreaking for all of us to hear, who have so desperately wanted to see it all this time. I don’t pretend to know how business works, but I can tell you this: There are thousands of people, not hundreds, but thousands of people, who would buy this on DVD. People flew from all over the US, from all over the world, to attend this premiere. So what do you think people will do if they can go to their local music stores to pick it up? They will pick it up. This movie means a lot to John Roecker, and a lot to fans of Green Day, and to not release it is wrong, for whatever reasons you have. Maybe it’s the band’s decision, I don’t know. But we WANT TO SEE THIS MOVIE! There’s a petition circulating on the forums, all over the internet, and it already has 800+ signatures, and it’s growing. Perhaps it won’t do any good, but we are fans. We love this band. And we deserve to see it. I understand 21st Century Breakdown will be released late spring/early summer, but that doesn’t mean the movie shouldn’t be released, too, at some point in the near future, the next year. All the feedback and reviews of the movie have been nothing but positive, it has only strengthened the love we already feel, and improved the opinions we already had. American Idiot changed a lot of lives, garnered Green Day a lot of fans, and to completely disregard this movie, or wait for a ten year anniversary, or whatever is going on here, is just wrong and unfair to the people who have paid to see them, bought their music and their merchandise all these years. Make it available to the fans. It’s the right thing to do. Thank you; Angie -----
