A tour would at least get it to more people than say, not touring it. I think it's a great idea, but who knows if he gets to do it. And a stop in the UK would be brilliant

The closest it would come to here might possibly be Atlanta, which would be about a 4 hour drive. I'd gladly do that. Hell, i would've gladly flown across the country had I been able to afford it and my mom wasn't sick. Just bad timing for me. But Atlanta? I could soooo do that

Yeah, I'd say it's a start. Plus I can't really imagine a tour reaching the UK, tbh. And even if it did say, come to London, I think I'd rather spend that travelling money on going to an extra Green Day concert

I think a tour kinda just sounds like a compromise to get us to shut up. It must be so frustrating for John to have to beg to get his own work released. Besides, there's no way it'd get all the way round Europe and to lesser known cities like Sheffield. I really don't see what's so hard abot making a film, showing it and then releasing it on DVD. Warner's are a massive company and it's not like they haven't done this before. If we don't get a proper answer back soon, I reckon it's letter time.

One of the many things I'm confused about on this issue is that there's the people who attended the show on Wednesday and heard straight from his mouth that they would be the only people to see the movie and there was no DVD being released.. and then he's saying people should be bashing onto Warner to get it released.

Touring is just a compromise, like the guy above commented about. We're obviously not going to be quiet about this issue at all and I just think it's a huge pity that a piece of art that's been created and took so much time creating is going to waste.

That's (yet another) thing that's annoyed me. He mentions in the radio interview thingy that they'll be a dvd (I seem to recall him saying something about extras), then claims it's only going to be shown once (and doesn't mention why) and now he's encouraging us to complain !

I've got a theory. Perhaps the reason they don't want movie out to mass public yet is because it will bring AI to everyone's mind. With green day getting ready to release their new album they don't want people to have AI fresh in their brains they want them to be like unprepared i guess i don't know how to put it. So you don't have any true expectations for what it will be like. But the point of the premier would be publicity just to get people talking about green day again. So pretty much indirectly hyping for new album. Now they got the problem of wanting movie to release. So I think they might have backed themselfs in a corner. I think it will get released but I am unsure of it getting released before new CD.

Just think of all the hard work John put into making this film. How many hours of his life he's wasted knowing now this won't be on DVD. I'd be really pissed if I were him. I'd be like fuck the label I'm making a DVD with this. But maybe everyones right maybe with the new album and everything Warner feels that people want the new stuff not the old stuff. I'm guessing maybe next year or even later this year once the new album is out, once they've played a few shows maybe they will put this on DVD cause other bands have done that. Other bands have had new albums come out and later on after the release they put some kind of DVD out. I'm hoping Green Day will do the same.

They're probably thinking about it on a matter of levels, but I have no idea. I wish we could get a full statement from both sides about this. Like, I don't want to be quick to judge Roecker, but we need a full statement from him.. because of the conflicting things he said as I stated above.

It would be nice to have some clarification from the parties with control over putting it out. I'm sure John had good intentions with the film, and didn't just screen it for one night to spite the GD fans that couldn't attend, like, "Hehe, fuck you guys!" *squinty George Bush eyes*. I think he just figured that one night was better than nothing at all. And there's still the possibility that Warner (or some other distributor) will pick it up. I definitely don't think that's going to happen before the new album, though.
