I wouldn't mind :) I wonder round about how much it would cost to ship it over here?

I'd only charge you like $2.50/$3

I don't like ripping people off.

However, it's maybe best to check your local big supplier for magazines. Like, I bought the US mag Nylon last week over here, in WH Smith.. I'm sure you guys have places like those that stock a certain few UK mags.

LOL! I haven't yet read the scans.. but just reading about Tre saying 'pussyfart' is just pure lol. He's looking mighty fine :eyebrows:

and to any US people, some of us UK'ers could buy copies and then send them over, it'd be a damn site cheaper PLUS we wouldn't rip you off. I'll be up for doing that for whoever wants one.

haha i agree. Tre is comedy genius and "mighty fine" rolled into one. btw, what photo did your ava come from? and can i have it?

i cant wait to sit down and read this article :)

Man, I didn't even know about this magazine until just now. D:

But thanks for uploading the scans. :D

Anyone know if the magazine's out and about at any stores?

^ It came out today, I'm guessing, in the UK and I suppose to anyone else who has a subscription. No one outside of England has been able to find it yet though. =\

well, firstly, that article was poorly written; whoever wrote that lacks grammar and basic writing skills. he or she made so many errors, i mean i know you can make mistakes, but they have editors and such. that was horribly written and honestly, anyone with basic writing skills can write a better story. if you don't believe me go to the part about one of their children. it says something along the lines, "[children's name] fourteen, [other child's name] 8." that's not how you write, you stay consistant.

in addition, i wish they would stop with the politics; they're like little kids when it comes to politics, "we got another state." that part pissed me off big time. i used to do that shit when i was little, but grow the fuck up; states mean shit. secondly they talked about how the media would brainwash the youth, i know several hundred GDC members brainwashed by this shit. learn the real facts, don't learn from a band telling you how to think and feel. i've see it so many times here, especially with foreign members, "um i dont like mccain because obama doesnt!!! OBAMA 08!!! MCCAIN SUCKS!!!" i'm sure some dumbass will call me out as a republican, "oh sour grapes buddy!" no, actually i wanted Ron Paul to win the election. then someone else will say, "well what did you think from a green day forum we're staunch democrats here because American Idiot told us to be and that's the message it had!" well, you musn't follow your favorite band's political ideas. i'm related to the manager of Anti-Flag, but you don't see me here preaching Anti-Flag's ideas. this is American Idiot part II coming at you.

That gave me the biggest headache ever. Love that you point out the writer's bad grammar and punctuation and then proceed to write that.

James Joyce, the world's greatest author and modern day author of grammar, didn't capitalize i's or the first letter of sentences. he actually wrote a book without using punctuation, so go ahead call me a hypocrite when i'm following one of the greatest writers of all time. i can write to your rules whenever you want me to, but don't you dare call me out on grammar unless i admit to it. there are times when i get lazy, but capitalize is a very weak rule. you should think about reading Finnegan's Wake of Ulysses for real knowledge, but then again you're probably confused by Shakespeare plays.

also, i'm glad you enjoyed it. i can write a story for you anytime you'd like!

Good rant.

Yeah there are some grammatical errors in the article, but the writer is British, so give him a break. :P

And whether you like it or not, our President is elected through the electoral college. So, winning a state is important. I think more or less they were just trying to prove they were working on the album while watching the election.

You may have a point on American Idiot. But I think a lot of people here are just liberal and are drawn to anything anti-Republican and anti-Bush, and that's what AI was. Let me tell you I'm a Republican who voted for McCain, and I just enjoy good music. That is why I am here. I think anyone who cannot separate music and politics (at least appreciate music beyond just their own political beliefs) is dumb. If anyone here or anywhere is liberal because Green Day are and for no other reason, they are really of no use to society.

With that being said, I don't think 21CB will be AI Pt. 2. It will have different sounds, some of the same, and channel different artists for influences. Bob Dylan, among others, released a slew of political songs and albums but no one ever said he was just repeating himself.

I love seeing Billie Joe wearing the same scarf he had during FHT... Or at least it matches the shirt

thanks, that's kind of my thing, hah.

yeah, it's just kind of annoying how hypocritical they are sometimes and people here honor them as Roman esque gods.

i'm here for music, i'm not here to be taught how i'm wrong or how stupid i am. i'm probably the least punk person here, but they're so hypocritical it's annoying. they feel informed because they can listen to a band who tells them they are informed. i'm here for pre-American Idiot music.

not a bad idea on politics, other than voting for McCain :P.

the main ideas will be very closely related to American Idiot; that's not very plausible to me.

Awe, it's only in the UK? Damn. I have yet to read the whole thing, though.

But I guess a scan is just going to have to make the cut this time.

I think the magazine overplayed the politics of American Idiot. There were 2 songs that dealt with the anti-Bush movement and the rest were more about the storyline of the album.

I wasn't talking about the capital letters. But the fact that you immediately jump at it, and then name check the famous authors you're copying, speaks volumes. Don't worry, we all know how smart you are. No need to constantly remind us. :)

Most of the songs dealt with it at some level, and the concept of the album as a whole did as well. Also, most of the songs had a personal element and a sociopolitical element to them.

quotes are direct or loosely quotes if you were refering to them. i, as a person and writer, am not responsible for fixing peoples' poor grammar. if i wanted to brag how smart i am, then i'd tell you about my science project that won me $2000 dollars from the state for college, or i'd tell you how i developed a full cheating method of the alphabet involving blinks of eyelashes. no, my friend, i'm using common knowledge applied to life. thanks, though m'friend.

I concur. It was so much more than just a political album.

Ha Billy how are Green Day hypocritical?

I can understand how certain writers have their own quirks in how they construct their writing, but I think that what Tedifer was trying to say is that the problem isn't that you aren't following correct form, but rather that it's very straining on the eyes and brain to read. There isn't a rhythm. Such is the same WHEN PEOPLE TYPE IN ALL CAPS YOUR EYES GET TIRED OF IT AND EVENTUALLY YOU JUST GIVE UP BECAUSE IT'S NOT WORTH IT.

It's understandable that you're not bothered by it as that is how you prefer to write, but most people are accustomed to capitalization. If you write like you don't care in a style that is difficult to comprehend, people aren't going to bother to care about what it is you're writing, no matter how smart or eloquent it could be.

I tried to read A Million Little Pieces (before the writer was crucified by Oprah) and simply couldn't get through it because there wasn't a grain of grammar to be found. It's tedious.

Just a thought.

And Tre is hot.

Ha Billy how are Green Day hypocritical?

well, Hermione there was one maybe two articles where they declared the media was brainwashing America's youth and they must listen to the real facts. well, little did Green Day think, the youth thought that meant listen to their music and they would have a good grasp on politics. well, everyone was like, "yeah dude, totally if we like totally listen to Green Day's music you know we might like understand how the political world works." wrong, just completely wrong. Green Day told them to not listen to the media, yet Green Day is a part of the media. hmm, something's peculiar about this. i can't quite put my finger on the word i'm looking for. Hippocrates, no, no that's the man who came up with the medical oath. Hypotenuse, no, that's the longest side of a triangle, usually. Hypocrites, oh yes, that's the word i was looking for!

hmm, i let this go by, my mistake.

i'm not going to apologize on how i type, i type according to a legend, something i want to strive foward towards. it doesn't matter if there is beat, i'm not writing in blank verse or iambic pentameter. i use punctuation, so if you want to pick at me for my typing, you clearly don't know who you're messing with. i capitalize proper nouns, that's pretty much it. if i have respect for something, i capitalize it. it doesn't matter about intelligence, it matters about the proper way to type and write. many modern day grammaticalists question the use the capitalization, such as the question of the use of the comma in a list. i don't care, i wouldn't trust Oprah in the first place. it's your fault if you can't put the effort into reading a book. you're not going to skim through books and get the idea; if so, that's why wikipedia was created.

post script Tre is not hot, he's an aging middle aged man. (:
