Astrid. Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 That;s great.. and I'll probably buy them. Just to have it in my collection And if they make the vinyl with a picture or color other than black I'll get it on my wall, to expend my 7'' singles
.Brian Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 i want to buy them all but i really hope they won't be that expensive :/ otherwise i had to chose a few of them and i think i wouldn't be able to do so
musse Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I won't buy them... I'd love to have the original dookie vinyl but I have no use for some reissues. I do have a record player and I really like vinyls but reissue.... no.
drumstick Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I guess they really are playing up to the 20 years of Green Day thingyeah
.Brian Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I won't buy them... I'd love to have the original dookie vinyl but I have no use for some reissues. I do have a record player and I really like vinyls but reissue.... no.i thought so too, but it's better than no vinyls i think. i also would like more to have the original too, but i don't want to pay up to 200 $ for a vinyl.
Velocity Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 i thought so too, but it's better than no vinyls i think. i also would like more to have the original too, but i don't want to pay up to 200 $ for a vinyl.Exactly. I'd rather have the originals, but I can't afford them. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to getting Bullet In A Bible on vinyl.
greendayfan518 Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 21CB- BIAB- BOX SET- I sure am happy about getting new vinyl for the collection. but here goes ANOTHER $300.00 After 21CB is released, maybe they will put out a 20 years of Green Day CD and DVD too...like International Super Videos, only better! We can only hope...and nudge...
Dylan. Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 20 years of Green Day and they are releasing them on a device that was popular like 30 years ago....naw, but I will probably attempt to purchase Dookie, Insomniac, and American Idiot. I don't know if I'll be able to though. I am trying to buy a new iPod cuz mine broke, plus I'm saving up for Green Day tickets this Summer. I've got a lot of shit I want more than the vinyls.
-Bruce Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I won't buy them... I'd love to have the original dookie vinyl but I have no use for some reissues. I do have a record player and I really like vinyls but reissue.... no.It sounds like these releases will be better quality then the old ones. Between 140-180 gram vinyl, that sound impressive, if it's not let me know, i don't want to continue sounding like an idiot, if its not.My only concern is the artwork, if there going to have the inserts.EDIT: I looked it up and 140 is normal. But Dookie is going to be 180g, has it been released on 180g before?
Hermione Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 If I was a vinyl-person I'd imagine I'd be pretty happy about this. However, I do not approve of The Network being in there. Saying The Network is Green Day is like saying Santa Claus doesn't exist
British Idiot Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Brilliant way to devalue all the old vinyl people have been collecting over the years.Bloody re-releasing Nimrod on vinyl...boooooo!Keep SOME stuff rare, it makes it more exciting
farley drexel hatcher Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Brilliant way to devalue all the old vinyl people have been collecting over the years.Bloody re-releasing Nimrod on vinyl...boooooo!Keep SOME stuff rare, it makes it more excitingNah, those versions will probably go up in value, if anything. People will still want the originals. And there some people out there who want the vinyls but can't afford to spent hundreds on them, myself included
sarita Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Have they said where you can pre-order them, or where they're gonna be sold?
Fuzz Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 No pre-order yet. Haven't heard anything about them being online yet. Since they're doing Dookie on the Record Store Day, it seems kinda pointless to make it available online.
The Disappearing Boy Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Brilliant way to devalue all the old vinyl people have been collecting over the years.Bloody re-releasing Nimrod on vinyl...boooooo!Keep SOME stuff rare, it makes it more excitingrare stuff is old cassette tapes of like kerplunk and stuff. though im not sure when they stopped releasing stuff on cassette. i assume it was round nimrod era.but i never realised they released stuff on vinyl before.
Greenday_Aussie Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 So if the originals are worth more, are used originals worth a bit, or does that kill their value?
The Disappearing Boy Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 So if the originals are worth more, are used originals worth a bit, or does that kill their value?i would imagine that value would decrease a bit with use, but im no expert.
J'net Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 Yeah, I've been thinking it's about time to upgrade my turntable. I think this sounds like a good time to do it .
**nobodylikesyou** Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 Yeah, I've been thinking it's about time to upgrade my turntable. I think this sounds like a good time to do it .I bought one during foxboro times that converts vinyl to mp3's!
thisisAB Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 AW this is awesome. I've always wanted to buy a few Green Day vinyls! Again, this kills the rarity Are singles gonna be released too? In a way I'd like that, but in a way that totally kills rarities. Another question: approximately how much are record players? (USD is fine) And where could I buy one? I've always wanted one but never found a good reason to buy one.
Eirik Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 I bought one during foxboro times that converts vinyl to mp3's!In my head I got the image of you putting a vinyl into a machine, then the machine making a lot of noise and then shooting out an MP3 player..
