Guest Hayley Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 i hope that's not true!I love seeing Billie playing guitar.
cabot_girl Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 I really don't hope this is true... I'm not much fan of Billie just yelling and waving his hands during shows, it gets rather boring. He should sing and play his guitar. That't what he is good at, and that is the Billie Joe I want in Green Day. They are capable of playing at their own shows!! I don't want them to turn into U2 at all.
Hermione Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 ^He's never just sung and played his guitar on stage, he's always done a load of other fun stuff to entertain the crowd too. Just standing there would be far more U2-like. And thankfully he would never do that.As far as I can see from the information we've been given, all they're doing is replacing one backing musician with another - there'll be the same amount of extra musicians as during AI. And Billie will clearly still be playing some guitar. What's the problem
Greenday_Aussie Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 The artical is obscure, thats the problem. You've got people reading it as "Hes not playing anymore" and others reading it as "They are replacing Pelino"
Hermione Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 ^It'll be a lovely surprise for them when he walks triumphantly on stage with his guitar then
Greenday_Aussie Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Yes I cant wait to fucking scream like a teenie Its sad, because I may just.
Greenday_Aussie Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Yeah but your a female, Im a guy. Its just not right
Greenday_Aussie Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Thats true. What happens at a GD concert STAYS at a GD concert. If I get on stage...I wont be afraid to maul Billies face He seems to encourge it after looking at Live vids on YouTube
Tripe Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Nobody knows that he really did...he just hasn't played with them for several years now. I'm trying to remember whether he was at the last show they did in the US, in Dayton....I don;t think he was. But I wouldn't swear to it.Anyway, he could have been asked, and passed on the committment of 19 months. Maybe he has family committments or a regular job or an up-and-coming band he couldn't come back to after such a long time away.
The Disappearing Boy Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 if that billie joe dosn't play guitar regularly on stage, he will have me to answer to
sydneygirl Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 I'm sure Billie will still play plenty of guitar on the tour, but if he plays a little less it might give him even more chances to interact with the audience! Now that would be awesome
marie1986 Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 i want billie to still have a guitar in his hand most of the time. him just singing would be kind of blah.
Fuzz Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Rule: Dont ever compare Green Day to U2 and Coldplay.I'm all for it! here here!
M1KEY Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Yeah but your a female, Im a guy. Its just not right Oh... it's right. :wink:if that billie joe dosn't play guitar regularly on stage, he will have me to answer to LOL Well that changes everything!
