Juan Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I think they have reached the point in their careers when they can play all the albums as a treat for their fans
novacaine_kid Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I think they have reached the point in their careers when they can play all the albums as a treat for their fansIt was awesome when less than jake did it in london back in 2007. They even joked at the time that if green day would come and do a similar thing then they knew where they stole the idea from. would be immense if they did it, tickets would be so hard to get hold of though
Guest Phoebe. Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Nice, I'll be taking my friend to see them. She's loved them since forever, she deserves it.I hope the new album is song-along good, lol.And I hope it's not all just stadium gigs, I mean wembley would be nice but it's so impersonal.Birmingham NIA I can stretch to =]
nicola:) Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 what about milton keynes like last time?that was immence
Katarina. Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 what about milton keynes like last time?that was immenceYou were there? Ö
calise Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Well apparently they're playing Reading, which is in the summer, but then if they do this tour like they did the A.I one, the festivals will be seperate from the tour. Ah we will see. I've set this site as my homepage so everytime I log on I check it to see if any new tour stuff has come through, 'cos for almost four years my life aim has been "Go to another green day show."I heard they pulled out of Reading to do their own stadium gigs, leaving Reading struggling to find a new headliner.
novacaine_kid Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I heard they pulled out of Reading to do their own stadium gigs, leaving Reading struggling to find a new headliner.thats the information i had as well. they wanted ac/dc too but they also pulled out. i spoke to someone who is in the know when it comes to reading and leeds and green day are definately not playing according to him

novacaine_kid Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 yeah it sucks :/ but at least they are doing some arena shows. a green day exclusive show will always be better than a fest to me.
farley drexel hatcher Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I was thinking of going to Reading if they played but it'd cost me about four times what a Green Day show would so I may as well wait. I also heard they declined Reading for that reason, something about them not agreeing with the steep ticket prices, but you can only believe so much.
nicola:) Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 i heard they wern't doing reading too.. sorry guysi suppose why do that when they can have thier own gigs
The Disappearing Boy Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 shame if they did turn down reading. i liked them doing that. hope its not true.
drumstick Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Gosh, is there any chance to Green Day come to Croatia?...hahano!That's for surepfff  But I started to save money so I hope I will be able to go in some other countries where they will play
gdpunk2 Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 England UK, cant wait , i have never seen Green Day before and i have been a fan for ages now, now i may finally get round to seeing themNice, I'll be taking my friend to see them. She's loved them since forever, she deserves it.I hope the new album is song-along good, lol.And I hope it's not all just stadium gigs, I mean wembley would be nice but it's so impersonal.Birmingham NIA I can stretch to =]Yeah I live in Birmingham, i should assume they will play the NIA, they did during the American Idiot toursomewhere around the region of 23-27 pounds im guessing. Thats if they play a big venue such as the O2 Arena. If its smaller venues then maybe about 20.If they starting their tour in july i reckon that we will hear some confirmed dates around the time the first single starts getting airtime.i think they will be a lot more expensive, around 35 to 40 pounds, coz i remember my uncle paying 35 to see them in 2005, expect around 35 pounds
Tubbie Head Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I can't even believe that I will probablly see them this year!!..
Nobody_Likes_You Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 i heard on the radio, that ticket prizes will explode soon.
Nimrod99 Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 It'd be aweome if they could drop the ticket prices down like they did with Insomniac ($15) for those of us who are struggling like myself... but I'm pretty sure that isn't going to happen. I'm hoping that I'll be able to go to a gig this year, but with the way things are atm, I'm not so sure.
novacaine_kid Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 now that ticketmaster have merged with livenation i think prices will go up. they will stick a bunch of extra charges on concerts, even though you have to pay enough of those anyway. i still dont think it will be too high though for green day, they are usually pretty good at capping ticket prices

Katarina. Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I can't even believe that I will probablly see them this year!!.. Me neither. Finally the long wait has paid off.
Nimrod99 Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I hope they drop the ticket prices as well.Otherwise, I'll have to dress up like a hobo and beg for money. It'll be kind of sad for me if I'm not able to go.... I've seen them every time they've been in my area starting with Insomniac. Oh well, not a lot I can do at this time.
amy_runs Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I have two kidneys. I'll sell one. You gotta do what you gotta do...I'm so excited for this tour. Every day brings it closer
Greenday_Aussie Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Any Aussie know what the AI ticket prices were?
