music_that_is Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Europe Fall '09 Yess! I hope nothing goes wrong and I can be in England by September...
Hermione Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 'tis not. did you see them on the AI tour? Laaaaaame. It was so easy to get through all the 12 year olds that I was on the barricade for the entire show. That's what I'm counting on Don't be worried about getting tickets. We're among the first to know these details, and I never had a problem getting tickets, so long as i was ready for them the day they came out (and they didn't surprise us and just magically let them go on sale one day, there were weeks of notice when they'd go up). If they do a pre-sale for idiot club members, it's a very very small portion of the tickets they'll sell - and I'd say about 90% of the tickets will be available after a pre-sale. That's not to say they won't go fast - just be prepared to purchase them the day they go on sale (if you're buying online, get ready to buy them when they immediately go up). And even after that, some venues during AI didn't sell them all in order to sell at the actual box-office. I don't think it's worth joining the Idiot Club just for the hope there will be a pre-sale. The shows won't start till July, and I'm sure we'll find out with plenty of time before then where the tickets will be available. I'd wait to see if the Idiot Club is actually going to do anything special (get some exclusive videos or something again) before subscribing. As it is now, 100% not worth the trouble unless you've been a member before and enjoy the community there.Thank you Andres! You have calmed my extreme paranoia.I just found this: it´s pretty funny and interesting, I think. From 1990.http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/8730/gdtour1km9ai2.jpgIt´s from a Cometbus issue. If anyone knows from which issue it is, I´d be happy to know it. Haven't seen that for a while, it's great. I love the extra flexible offer to play shows, "you do not have to give us any of these things". So sweet.
Guest Hayley Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Oh i hope they'll have a concert somewhere near greece...
brownie Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Not worth my cash. And I plan on going to a fuckload of shows. Unless you're extra paranoid about it I wouldn't join.ok thanks for the advice!

14razorbacks Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 having had an idiot club membership for about eight months and gained absolutely nothing from it, my account has decided to screw up and not let me log in a week after they announce a world tour this year.fantastic.

It's super sad but a pretty brilliant read.
Sora Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Yay! My parents allowed me to go abroad for their concerts if needed!

Guest FlirtyDutherMucker Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 They best make Bullet in a Bible #2!
Guest FlirtyDutherMucker Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Bullet in a Breakdown?Bullet in a Painful Place sounds better. Although with a title like that, it would appeal to the mental hospital inhabitant scene (Breakdown, not Painful Place).

GDOBSSOR Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 I wanted to make a separate thread for this now that we know the tour will officially kick off in July in North America, then the band will start playing Europe in Fall 09 (I had this confirmed with the band). 2010 the band will move to Japan, Southeast Asia and South America before returning for more North American shows. It's only February and we already have a pretty good idea that we have the next 1.5 to 2 years to get some new live music Will they come to NZ at all? They did last time.
marie1986 Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 i hope they come to chicago in july!! that would be amazinggg!! i've been waitingggg for the moment for the past 4 years--didn't see them the last time they were here
