Juan Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I´m a modest person. I can use it until my "last day on earth" I bet they will play "Knowledge" as they do on every tour. I hope they will get me on stage to play it God, I need to practise this song.edit: my new ava doesn´t work :down:3 chords D, C , G
amelialoh1992 Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 If I could hear 'Castaway' or 'One For the Razorbacks' live, I'd die happy Oooo yeah. Those 2 songs are awesome. Castaway especially.
Nimrod99 Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I hope they do 'Knowledge' too That was probably my favorite stretch of the concert. Billie was so good to that kid. A little kid, I mean yooooung, got up there to playguitar. And he froze. I mean, the kid was immobilized. Billie tried talking him into playing, bending down to talk to him, but he just wouldn't. So they took the guitar, and ushered him off the stage. A second later, Billie called him back and handed him the guitar. He gave it to him. Everyone screamed, and then Billie said, "Now go fuckin' practice!" and they took him away again Just the way he interacted w/ the kid was so funny and cute. He made that kids life. And Tre had a drumming prodigy on his hands, the kid couldn't have been any more than 5. He came up to Tre's waist, and Tre is shorter than me EDIT Forgot to reply to the other two quotes Yeah, it did get a little crazy during that part. But I think Billie feeds off of it lolIf I could hear 'Castaway' or 'One For the Razorbacks' live, I'd die happy A little? That's the understatement of the Century. It was like a teenie orgy except everyone kept their hands to themselves (at least I so fucking hope so).
Starbug Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Stuart and the Avenue would be awesome (again). Ah, such good times those were. RIP old (well young) snotty, jackass, shitheaded, overly talkative Green Day.Yeah, I feel ya. I do miss bratty Green Day... But new Green Day is good, too
Tiffx Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Aw I loved them when they were little and bratty .I still love them though.
Nimrod99 Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Yeah, I feel ya. I do miss bratty Green Day... But new Green Day is good, too It was kind of odd to see them so... nice during the AI tours. It would also be a hoot to have them play the Grouch.
Anja Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 3 chords D, C , GI have the tabs somewhere...I haven´t even touched a guitar since I´m away from "home" I miss my guitar Scattered live would be a dream come true "2000 light years away" would be even better! I wish I could create their setlist for one night.

They tore it up great, great memories from that night.

Nimrod99 Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Y'know you can have a good Green Day experience without actually going to a green day concert. Ah crap, I just pulled a "Billie" and didn't notice it.

Y'know you can have a good Green Day experience without actually going to a green day concert. Ah crap, I just pulled a "Billie" and didn't notice it.Well yeah I guess.. But I'm guessing going to their concert would be the best experience there is.

But if you have more good memories, share them!Don't think of it as something you missed, think of it as something you can catch up later Billie wearing my jacket and threatening to keep it was one such thing I will never forget. And that jacket is the most fugly thing on the planet. lol.

Or a Nimrod tour. Or a Woodstock 94. Or whatever.

Believe me, I missed years and years worth of tours before I finally got the chances I got. Those chances are very, very special to me I'm not at all trying to rub it in. 2000 light years away as an encore? Yes, it was wonderful.Don't think of it as something you missed, think of it as something you can catch up later Billie wearing my jacket and threatening to keep it was one such thing I will never forget. And that jacket is the most fugly thing on the planet. lol.Wow, when did that happen?

I think it will stay there forever anyway.I wonder what GD experiences I have to tell ten years from now.
Nimrod99 Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Wow, when did that happen? In 1997 during the Nimrod tour at a very small venue. I miss the small venue days. I know it's not likely to happen, but I hope that Green Day can fit in some small venue tours in my area this time around.
Anja Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I just found this: it´s pretty funny and interesting, I think. From 1990.It´s from a Cometbus issue. If anyone knows from which issue it is, I´d be happy to know it.
