Jaymee!! Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Did they sell out every show on their AI tour actually or were they still some tix available at the box office? Just wondering. The crowd was about 13 000 - 15 000 in Ottawa in 05.That's pretty good for an Ottawa show, but a sell out is 17 000+.
Guest LusciousZ Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 ^That's weird. The one place I thought wouldn't sell out due to the high number of haters is seattle and the show sold out an hour before doors opened.
Anja Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 @jaymee!!: Wow, that´s huge! If they played stadium shows, I wouldn´t be so worried :/
Jaymee!! Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 @jaymee!!: Wow, that´s huge! If they played stadium shows, I wouldn´t be so worried :/Their show was a year before I started working at the arena in Ottawa, so I was only told that info by my cousin-in-law/assistant manager of the building & box office. But Ottawa has a smaller 'stadium' than most other cities. Our building capacity is 22 000, including the standing section. Most big cities have about 30 000+ seating. And, after working there for 3 years, I have a pretty good idea how certain shows do.The only sell outs I've ever worked were The Who, U2, Coldplay & Eric Clapton.Oh & the upcoming Elton John/Billy Joel concert June 1st. They sold out 3 minutes after going on sale. The people that sell out in Ottawa are the ones that are HUGE in the world atm, or the older folks.Though I'm still surprised to this day that Bob Dylan only managed to bring 2500 this past winter when he had 11 000 last year
Spark of Insanity Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I am definitely not going to miss this years tour like last year.I hope they go to Louisville or Cincinatti again so I can go and don't have to drive far.I just hope I have enough money by then or I will almost do anything to get enough money to go.I'm not missing it this time.
Starbug Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Yeah, I'm doing whatever I hafta do to see them as many times as I can. I may get to see them twice, not sure. Iknow I'll see them at least once. But again, I'll do what I hafta. Sell a kidney, part of my liver, whatever.
Jaymee!! Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 After a quick planning, I've so far got 5 shows set to go to Man I need to get that second job RIGHT quick...

Nimrod99 Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 sometimes the local radiostations will have presale tickets as well (if they have a "club" type thing you can sign up for online).

Sell a kidney, part of my liver, whatever.Same with me, but I hate being poor.I'm going to have to scruff up as much money as I possibly can. Possibly I can get the $700 that my mom owes me, but that isn't very likely. So I am prepared to do anything whatever for tickets, last time she wouldn't let me go and I didn't know they were coming to Kentucky so early.I WILL SEE THEM THIS TIME. I'm making sure of that.
Prisca Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I'm so excited for their tour! It's been way too long and I've been needing my fix! I really hope I'll be able to attend more than one show this time. Gotta start saving some dough!
Hayley Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I might have 6 I might be going to Vancouver too! You better
Starbug Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I want May first Me, too. And a single will be before that. So it's coming. Looming ever larger on the horizon. This thought makes me
Samantha Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 YeahTechnically you can't have May without July in this case
Greenday_Aussie Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 ANy guesses to when the first single will appear, Green Day have never been a band to put a single out like 2 months before the album (thank god, it makes the wait worse) 1st or 2nd week of April anyone?
