Rezurgam Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Yeah I'd rather not be in a mosh pit thanks You won't be able to get your freak on like Starbug did though.
Guest LusciousZ Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Because of your crazy stories Ah! Well then I think it's safe to say my roomate is the craziest since most of my good stories have to do with him.
rootbeersoup Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 You won't be able to get your freak on like Starbug did though. I just don't want to be around a bunch of kids who have to take a daily dose of ritalin------and forgot to that dayAh! Well then I think it's safe to say my roomate is the craziest since most of my good stories have to do with him.You need your own TV showOr at least a pinned thread
Guest LusciousZ Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Yeah, I would rather not be, too. It's one thing to be in the middle of a stinky crowd. It's something else entirely getting shoved around and trod on.i love getting the shit beat out of me at a show so much that I can't breathe afterwards
chickin'pickin' Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I LOVE the mosh pit.And I doubt the Green Day mosh pit is particularly rough nowadays.

Laaaaaame. It was so easy to get through all the 12 year olds that I was on the barricade for the entire show.

Shame, because Green Day were fantastic.
Anja Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Yeah, I would rather not be, too. It's one thing to be in the middle of a stinky crowd. It's something else entirely getting shoved around and trod on.I was in the mosphit during a Rise against show and it wasn´t even my first time in a pit. But this time, it was MY choice to go there and I can tell you, when you are completely into the moment, into the music and blablabla and forget about the outside or even the inside world, it´s the best way to sweat out (not sure about this) your adrenaline and to feel the music - literally. You don´t even feel the pain that usally comes along with dancing pogo. You just drift. And this actually made this show to the best I´ve ever been to.Ah! Well then I think it's safe to say my roomate is the craziest since most of my good stories have to do with him.I realized that after I added my post I LOVE the mosh pit.And I doubt the Green Day mosh pit is particularly rough nowadays. It´s sad but true.
Guest LusciousZ Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Yeah, I went to the Bowl gigs. Y'know the Bullet in a bible ones? It was pathetic. Shame, because Green Day were fantastic.oh yeah.. i think i've heard of those..They are always fantastic and their crowds always suck. Since I was right up in front I did get to chuck some rubber ducks at billie though, so that was a highlight.
Starbug Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 You won't be able to get your freak on like Starbug did though. I went to see the Misfits last November, and I tried to start shoving into people, I shit you not. I can't believe I did it, but the people around me swayed w/ me for a few minutes, and then it was done. I dunno why lol It was fun, though.i love getting the shit beat out of me at a show so much that I can't breathe afterwards Yeah, you're crazy jkI LOVE the mosh pit.And I doubt the Green Day mosh pit is particularly rough nowadays.Yeah, what I saw wasn't rough. Nowhere near."Living with Anthony: My crazy fire crotch roomate".......... who rapes dogs.'tis not. did you see them on the AI tour? Laaaaaame. And this actually made this show to the best I´ve ever been to.I realized that after I added my post It´s sad but true.Yeah, I didn't 'mosh' but at FHT and Misfits, I sweated like a mother fooker, and I completley agree w/ you. I felt clean afterwards. Like I had been purged, nothing beats that feeling. I was wet w/ sweat, every article of clothing I was wearing was stuck to me. My hair was wet. Well, Mike poured water on us, that had something to do w/ it, but it wasn't all water Even Billie Joe made a comment about it being hot. We were in Texas! But yeah, I felt cleaner and purged and re-energized. I was sick at the Misfits show w/ a really bad cold, and if I ever slowed down, stopped hopping and screaming, I would wind down. I had to keep going until I was utterly exhausted loloh yeah.. i think i've heard of those..They are always fantastic and their crowds always suck. Since I was right up in front I did get to chuck some rubber ducks at billie though, so that was a highlight.I wanna go with you I sat (stood jumped danced boogied) next to someone completely awesome. She was hilarious. She danced the whole time. And on my other side was my best friend in life and in Green Day Greatest night of my LIFE!

Anja Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I can't begin to tell you how many pairs of glasses i've lost due to the mosh pit. It's well worth it though.I never really could understand why people are actually wearing glasses while being in a pit. One of my friends got hurt once because of her wearing glasses in a pit.
Radioactive1 Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I can't begin to tell you how many pairs of glasses i've lost due to the mosh pit. It's well worth it though.I think for Green Day I'm going to buy a pair of really shitty cheap glasses and get them made up as my prescription. I don't really fancy losing my £150 frames lol!Or. Maybe this is a sign I should just get contacts. Hmm.And I saw misfits in Camden a couple of years ago. OMG, they were bad. It was highly disappointing
Starbug Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I never really could understand why people are actually wearing glasses while being in a pit. One of my friends got hurt once because of her wearing glasses in a pit....so they could see, maybe? But I see your point, if they're gonna just get knocked off yer face, what's the point? lol
