Eirik Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Yeah, maybe.. I just hope they will give us a bit more information Yeah, something like that would be a disappointment.. :/
Ingrid Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 I seriously doubt they'll perform. but i'll keep my fingers crossed anyway.I wonder if "cool things" will just be the fact that the three of them are on stage presenting.meh. dunnoYeah, that's what I fear. And then everyone here will be super pissed off. I don't know, I just prefer to remain pessimistic and then rather be pleasently surprised. But either way, I'm looking forward to Monday morning
farley drexel hatcher Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 It might just be me but the 'surprise' thing that GD.com says might just be to look out for them so we see them presenting. That said, "cool stuff happening" makes me think there's more to it, I just don't want to get my hopes up XD.It'll be great to see them anyways, even if it's just presenting or on the red carpet or whatever.
Luci_Minority Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 ^ Haha, yeah, if they really announce them, I think I might faint XDMe too!! Sigh I can't see Grammy but monday I will see EVERITHING abut grammy!! :wink:I hope they will announced something about the new album
CarmenPunkGirl Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Every Green Day fan and their Mothers know that GD are releasing an album this year. It has to be something a little bigger than that.this is so funny and i agree with you
Fuzz Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 So i'm trying to get all this info together. What time/channel will it be airing in the UK? And, has anyone found any info about an internet live stream?
**nobodylikesyou** Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 http://grammyawardslivestreaming.blogspot....ive%20streamingthats what I came up with earlier on the streaming.
djrossstar Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 It's very likely that they would play a new song, even if we don't know the name of the new record or the song itself. In 1994, Green Day played Armatage Shanks at the 1994 MTV VMAs and nobody knew it's name or that their next record would be named Insomniac. (They used to play that performance as an actual video on MTV, but it was called Stranded (Lost Inside Myself) instead because nobody knew the name of it yet. Also in 1994, Green Day played Geek Stink Breath on SNL and it was the same deal, except my closed captioning said 'Geek Stink Breath' on it, so I knew the name of the song at that moment.DJ Rossstar

I don't know, I just prefer to remain pessimistic and then rather be pleasently surprised. But either way, I'm looking forward to Monday morning yeah exactlygod I'm going to have to wait 'till thursday to get the news. damn holiday appartement =(

Luci_Minority Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 ^interesting.That would be awesome.Yes...thx djrossstar for the information...it's really interesting!!
djrossstar Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 I'm old, so I remember everything! In fact, I remember seeing an MTV news piece on Green Day and how their fans were furious that they 'sold out.' This piece aired right before Dookie came out and I remember seeing a girl holding up the Kerplunk! cover, so I went to the store when Dookie was released and bought all three cassettes at once.I fell in love with 39/smooth and Kerplunk! immediately. I honestly ever liked Dookie as much and it drove me crazy when nobody in my school would give the other albums a chance!

Thats why i'm still unsure about it. I feel like that's TOO big of a surprise just to stay hidden. But no way to know.

(:Maybe they'll play the first discussed song in the ap article, 21st century breakdown.. I wonder how that song sounds like Anyways.. It starts at like 2am over here.. so I hope that when I get home from school on monday, there will be a vid of them..YAY
djrossstar Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Why do I feel like 21st Century Breakdown will also be the name of the record? The big news is probably that they are releasing two records. One in May and only towards the end of 2009.DJ
Katarina. Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 I got the same feeling for a while already.. but I don't know xD Two records? I don't think so..We'll see right? Sunday is only two days away..
Princess Consuela Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Were there any unannounced performances of such big act like GD at the Grammy's before?

Katarina. Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 ^^ Haha xD I actually think this is funny.. all those things we think that will happen.. Who knows what the guys are up to?..
djrossstar Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Hey! I know just as much as all of you do, and nothing more. I've had over 500 artists come to my house, most recently including AFI, Katy Perry, Foo Fighters and The Veronicas, but I'm still trying to nail down an interview with the band after being a fan for 15 years!DJ

One in May and only towards the end of 2009.DJEh, I dunno about two records. But 21st Century Breakdown sounds like a more tangible name than 'Hillside Dance' lol But who knows? But two records? That's a stretch.BUT MAN wouldn't that be awesome?

Katarina. Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 I think that 21st Century Breakdown would be a cool name, and may is like a late spring..
