The Disappearing Boy Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 I'd talk to them like i'd talk to anybody else I meet in say a club. They're just people, guys. it must be said, you speak 100% truth. i'd probably act normal because i know that there are 50,000 obnoxious Green Day fans and they'd probably want to stray away from the people who would scream "OMG1 Ur Gr33N DAIJ JI LOVEEEEEEEE U GUYZ W1LL U SIng tH1s UmPortaNTS p13c3 of pap3r"32w5234t984594958!!11111" actually id be like that. and i would talk like that completely, those words and all.
Yellow Felony Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Me? I would probably freeze up or my voice would be screwed over because of how excited I would be.
Alex. Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 id freeze and stare. then i'd try to make some sort of conversation with them, about what.. i have no idea
Hermione Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 I'm so in awe of them, especially Billie Joe, I'm sure I would be totally starstruck inside. I certainly wouldn't start screaming or crying or anything like that, my guess is I'd feel extremely awkward. It's an odd situation where it means so much to one person and it's just another day to the other. I know they're very down to earth and friendly, but even just sitting here it's hard to think what I'd say to someone I look up to so much so fuck knows what I'd come out with! But I know at the same time, despite all that, I'd be feeling SO happy to meet them it would make up for it times a million, I'd love it
Solitary One Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 I haven't met any of them, so I have no idea how I'd react.
Guest TwoDollarMellie Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 I'll probably say something ridiculously plain like, "umm uh...hi, I love your music... Can I take a picture with you guys?" I really can't really imagine myself screaming like a typical fan ("OMG I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!!") ...Maybe I'd do that, but much more calmly since I probably would be in shock. I should record a video if I ever do meet them, it'd be hilarious to watch .
Guest LusciousZ Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Before I met them I thought I would've passed out if it ever happened. It was completely different when I actually met them though and I think their personalities paid a big part in how comfortable I was with them. They were so friendly and down to earth that it actually felt stupid to be starstruck by them. I complemented Billie on the gig and talked to him for a while about Ireland (and Belfast in particular). He then gave me directions for the show the following night. Tre was also great to talk to-he actually apologised to me for being sweaty, god bless him I also felt really comfortable around Mike-he asked me for a hug so I didn't feel all stupid and obsessed fan like because he initiated it. Does that even make sense? Although I was very relaxed when I met them I spend the next week or so in a world of my own. I literally didn't eat or sleep for 3 days afterwards-I was on such a buzz from meeting them. Good times indeed amazing.
coco7 Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Oh my, I would freeze up. I would try to make conversation, but probably unsucsessfully. I'll most likely embarass myself, and say something stupid :/
Haz Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 If I were to meet green day then I'd try and remain perfectly calm although probably start blabbering random crap and then ask for an autograph. Although to be honest I'd probably chicken out and then regret it later
crazychic Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 if i met greenday i`d probably freeze for a bit and ask for their autograph in a breathless voice lol and probably just keep sitting still and trying to believe they are there lol
Rezurgam Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Honestly, I probably wouldn't recognize them at first. I'd be like, "Wait a second, do I know you?" Then five minutes later, "Holy shit, now I know! No fucking way." Then I'd talk to them about their music and how it's affected me and try to be calm about it.
Kaddi. Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 i would love to meet them but i have a feeling if i even saw them close to, i would either pass out, or i'd just walk past shaking cos i'd be so scared to talk to them, hope i wouldn't be like that i'd hope i could just walk up to them and start a conversation but i doubt that would happen! Exactly. I think I'd be like 'Oh my gosh, there are Green Day... aaah' If there would be somebody else with me he/she would probably be like 'Go over there, and talk to them. It's probably your only chance' But I think I'd be just too excited. There would be so many thoughts in my head like 'this is your only chance, go over there... no, you can't you're too shy... you aren't shy... i am, plus my english is too bad, it would be very embarrasing... no, just act normal, and everthing will be fine... and so on.' and while this dialog would occur in my head, the moment would be gone and I would be angry, sad and dissapointed for the next weeks or months or years. Oh, I hope I wouldn't act like that
Ayame Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 'OMGOMGOMG!!!!1 ITZ BILLY!!!!!1' I'd try to speak to them, and then when I (finally) do, my voice'd be shaking.
Guest give me novacaine-jos Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 I haven't seen them. :/ Actually I think I would freeze.
angie Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 well i never meet them , but i wish one day that i will meet them. well if i did meet them i would to shy to say anything,i would be aww of thier presnce.
Clawdia Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 I think I'd let them know I'm a fan, ask fro an autograph and then leave them alone. I don't wanna harass them.
sharon mitchell Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 I like to think I'd be cool and controlled but these guys mean so much to me I'd probably blabber and faint.
drumstick Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Only in my dreams I think I would fall in dizziness haha but really
IscoredWaddlesgoals Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 I once met 'celebrity' chef James Martin so I think I know how to talk to incredibly famous, talented people.....
virysya Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 when I met them, I offered them all sexual favors and cleaned their tour bus. Oh and made eggs in the morning. You are just kidding? Freeze, start shaking, have a huge fight with myself in my head about what I'll do, then when my change is almost over, get to them, ask for an authograph and than have nothing else to say and just stare, thinking about what I'll say.. I'm terribly shy. edit: oh, and i'll probably forget to talk english You know I'd probably feel the same way!!!!! Well. If I couldn't really breath meetin ADRIENNE then I don't know how I'm going to be around the BAND. Have you talked with her?
Agija Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 I've never met any Green Day member. But if I did, I'd definitely freeze, I think.
piratepalmer Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Good times indeed  I can't believe how calm you were - you're my hero Leanne! If I was sober I'd probably freeze, if I was drunk I'd probably be better tbh. So I'd better be well oiled at the gig
**nobodylikesyou** Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Before I met them I thought I would've passed out if it ever happened. I asked them tons of questions.
sharon mitchell Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 I hope I get my chance one day to tell them what they mean to me, as well as tell them how happy they made my friends.
