katymusic Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 Im pretty certain that my hands would clam up, haha. Id be pretty nervous i think, so id talk and propally stumble on my words. but i think i would manage to say something better than 'huge fan, thanks man'.
vla313 Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 My reaction was to pretend Billie wasn't standing 5 feet from me for 2 hours and try to surreptitiously take pics with my cell phone. Apparently I'm a creeper.
beejeezee Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 Probably freeze. Then freak out. Then calm down about it.
solongfromthestars Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 I know it's not exactly Green Day (it's GD related, right?), but when I met Michael Esper before the musical last week I was reasonably calm when I spoke to him and got a photo, but once he'd gone I was shaking and laughing like I was high or something. I kept going "oh my god, I can't believe I just met Michael!" in a high pitched voice. I guess the same thing would happen if I met Green Day
IlariaIDIOT Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 Have you met Green Day/a Green Day member? Yes, I have, in my dreams Anyway, I might start blabbering or start shaking. I'm so shy D:
Kayfabe Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 I'd like to think I wouldn't cry or scream I would like to think... D:
The Whatsername Rebel Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 My only dream and ambition in life is to meet Green Day. All i want to do is get up on stage with Billie Joe at a Gig for either East Jesus or just to sing Longview, I DONT CARE but i have to get on that stage and when i do....... my life will be complete and then i can go to heaven
littlegirl-of-suburbia Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Hmm probably scream Oh my Jesus of Suburbia!!!! Then I would ask for a hug (not in a creepy i want your body kindda way)... and ask if they could adopt me.... Ok in reality i would scream, ask for a photo and smile for the next month and half saying i met my heros!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
asemh Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 My reaction would be something along the lines of "Holy Shit! Green Day!" Then I'll take a pic with them and get their autograph
04rebhop Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 I usually freeze when i'm nervous and i forget what i am going to say, but i think i'd be like that for a few seconds and then just talk normally. I wouldn't want to come across as annoying.
Monica. Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Okay, so I met Billie at the GDC party on the 26th of Feburary...It was idk how to explain..I just couldn't believe it was happening...I thought I was dreaming, to be honest! But I somehow had to courage to ask him for a hug, and the nice guy that he is, gave me one! I'm just glad I didn't freak out and start asking a bunch of random questions...haha I kept it cool but inside I was like this---- lol I'd have to say that other than the amazing GD show in Detroit, this would have to be the best experience yet! Thanks to Dawn and everyone else that contributed to this party! I love you all for making this night the greatest memorable moment of my life!
Pihla Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Well, I haven't really met them but I saw Billie Joe at the hotel night before their gig. I think my heart skipped a beat. So I think that if I'd meet them someday I'd be so shocked that I wouldn't only forgot how to speak English but I'd forgot how to speak at all... They were my biggest heroes when I was 12 or so (and they still are) so it wouldn't be a wonder if I was a little nervous...
M3G4N Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I had the amazing experience of meeting Billie backstage at AI on Feb. 27th. I was so, so nervous at first but he was as nice and friendly as he could possibly be, which helped a lot. He initiated a hug, which was sweet, and we chatted a bit about the show and I got to gush a little about how much Green Day means to me. I didn't want to be an awkward fangirl, but it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to let him know that he really did change my life, and I think he appreciated it. I mean, musical genius aside, he really is just a normal, down-to-earth guy, and it was great getting to talk to him.
JuliaX_Ray2020 Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 just met them in my dreams but in these meetings were more emotions than in some meetings in reality.. hard to describe.. maybe that's what I'm living for.. I don't know
Amber. Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 I almost met Billie when I went to see the show. But I just kind of stood there like an idiot. I don't even know. Everything happened too fast.
-Billiejoezee- Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 When I met Mike. I thought I would cry and scream and act all teenie-ish, but i didn't. We talked like regular human beings.
oda Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 I'd stare blankly, pertend i'm part of the conversation, then forget everything that was said. And then somehow embarrass myself. Been there, done that But it was amazing.
ludwiig Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 I started to shake uncontrollably and i cried and cried and cried. Such an annoying fan. But hey, at least im not a screamer or anything. It was different when i met Jason (White) though, i was able to have more of a normal conversation with him.
AlexaRebel27 Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 i met Billie on his birthday & the day after. & also Adie. It was nothing special though cause all i did was ask Adie for a pic & had Billie sign my playbill. I said happy birthday to him & he looked at me, smiled & said "thanks". my mom was the one who got to talk to him. but i was really surprised how freaking calm i was infont of Billie & Adie!! i was excited but i wasn't like nervous & flipping out. If i were to meet Billie again i would probably tell him how much shorter he looks in person ...no, i would never! haha but i would LOVE to meet Mike, Tre & the Jasons someday! that would be insane
marie. Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 I was shaking a bit when I met Billie, but managed to speak to him like he was a regular person and not the frontman of my favorite band...I was quite pleased with myself. When I met Tre though...oy. I could hardly speak at first and I was shaking so bad, but I managed to talk to him and he was so sweet to me. I cried like a baby afterward, haha.
horrorkiss Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 I didn't actually meet any of them, but I did get Billie's autograph and saw Mike and Tre. I feel that I'd probably be a big dope and would just ask for a hug and tell them honestly that I love their music. But instead I'd probably embarrass myself.
