UnderClassHero Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 scream, then pass out. hahahaha guess i'll never be able to speak a word to them in that case.
Miss Hedgie Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I've only ever met them in my dreams. Most if the time I freeze, ask them politely for an autograph and photo. Though in my dreams I never have enough free pages for them to sign and they walk away...
Alllllli. Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 OMG. I just met Billie Joe tonight!!!!! =O Emily's Army played at Chain Reaction here in Anaheim, CA tonight, and I got a text from a friend who works there...and I hung out in the parking lot. She said him and Adie were there. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/hs100.ash2/38345_478535684545_640924545_6636148_7659878_n.jpg I didn't recognize him at first. My friend hit me after he walked past me and I went behind him and was like, "Billie!" He turned around as if he was a random civilian. Didn't even act famous or anything. I was like, "Oh my god, I'm a huge fan of your band. Could I get a quick picture with you?" He was REALLY hesitant, it was obvious he was in a rush and his little bodyguard guy (whoever he was) was rushing him the whole time saying "Dude we gotta go". So Billie was like, "oh...sure..." And my phone took FOREVER to take a picture (I swear, the ONE day I don't carry my SLR with me....FUCK), and I didn't think my friend got it bc she was like, "idk how to get this to work" and the guy was rushing Billie and he was like, "I gotta go, I'm sorry" and right then we got the picture. YAY YAY YAY. I'm on a permanent high right now, it was so quick, it was INSANE. I froze up and even had Warning inside my jacket and a sharpie....completely forgot. XD Good work!!! Aww, I'm so glad the photo came out.
Billie Kristy Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 OMG. I just met Billie Joe tonight!!!!! Awesome (: ! Btw, is he blond again, or am I seeing it wrong?
Mommy's Little Nightmare Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I get more nervous with Billie than the others. At the meet and greet the day of the album release, I kinda blabbered at Mike, I could barely say two words to Billie, I finally managed to blurt out 'ohmygodyou'remyidolcanIhugyou?!' and Tre ended up drawing an upside down cross on my forehead. I've gotten better at speaking to them, thanks to the musical, but I still feel like my heart's beating so hard it's gonna break through my chest.
Metanoia Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Awesome (: ! Btw, is he blond again, or am I seeing it wrong? this
Minority_GD Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Well, I was on stage, but I think that's something completely different than meeting them. I'd probably just walk up to them, ask for a photo and then leave.
Guest Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I'd firstly freeze, then I'd talk to them (depending on the situation), then get a picture with them, and an autograph. Without acting all fangirlish

Metanoia Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I'd probably forget about ALL my english skills and just brabble some useless german words to myself

Nikki_Nimrod Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I'm not sure what i'd do if I ever had the opportunity to meet them...Ideally, i'd like to have a nice conversation and maybe get a photo, but i could see myself just rambling like an idiot haha OMG. Charlotte2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I wish I could say I would be all calm and collected if I ever met them, but I know that I would be freaking the heck out.
iLozza! Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Tongue tied and blushing. And probably the cliched "i love you!" or something. I don't know, I'm not that quirky. Though if I could control my emotions just a little bit, I'd love to a conversation with them And congrats to the girl who just met Billie Joe! That's awesome
susanananananaa Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I met Billie on stage. I think that doesn't count as "meeting" though. I met Mike and Jason Freese after my first Green Day gig, and it was just like meeting good friends. I was very calm, yet extremely excited at the same time. We talked for a while, about the gig, Portugal, and The Who. Mike is really sweet, and Jason is very talkative. And then security rushed them into the bus. They're people just like us, so having hysterical people coming at them screaming and wanting to grab every part of their bodies must be scary as hell.
son Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 They're people just like us, so having hysterical people coming at them screaming and wanting to grab every part of their bodies must be scary as hell. this. nothing is more annoying than those people, especially with 'Billy' and his 'omgz hotness <33'. whores. being emotional is perfectly normal. screaming as if youre enduring an intense orgasm while trying to touch them is ridiculous. then again, ive ran into them a bit and talked to mike like if it was no big deal. i just laugh at myself when i think back to the first time i met them
DookieTheThird Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 They keep entering in my dreams ...and I like that .I'm always dreaming that I'm on stage with them, singing and then meeting their family. If I would meet them...I would probably freeze.I'd hug them and take pictures with them.I would make a joke too(if I'll be able)
Silverlight Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 If I met them. or even saw them, I would get all choked-up, not screaming, but when I see something like that, I go all nervous. I wouldnt just be nervous 'cause its Green Day, but I just cant talk when there is someone I havent personally met. Although I would try to keep my cool and try to talk english
Isabel Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Meeting Billie Joe on stage was so much easier than meeting him on the street.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 On stage I completely froze up, so I don't know what I'd do if I'd meet them on the street. Maybe not immediately freeze up because there's actually some build up to it (as opposed to from one second being a crowd member, and the next second you're pulled out of the crowd and run on stage.....not much time to prepare, haha). I didn't realize I froze up at the moment, but it's really clear on the videos, haha, it's almost a look of horror on my face Complete tunnel vision on "I must sing now. DON'T FUCK THIS UP!!!!!!111111!!" and that was it. So I really don't know how I'd react if I'd meet them on the street.
madddie Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Meeting Billie Joe on stage was so much easier than meeting him on the street. SO true! You're all hyped up, and they are too! I'd love to meet them on the street too but i'd feel a little like i'm invading their private life kinda thing.
AfterShock Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I'd be so starstruck haha I'd probably be like "I-I-I like your-r-r music-c-c"
Isabel Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 SO true! You're all hyped up, and they are too! I'd love to meet them on the street too but i'd feel a little like i'm invading their private life kinda thing. Same, that's why I only went up and said hi and then walked away. ......and then cried in a corner
lawrahday Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 i'm really shy so i dunno what i'd do. probably just stand with my mouth open for ages and eventually bug them but i'd feel bad if i was interrupting their day off or something :/ i met anti-flag and the wombats but i'm not a major fan so it was fine but if i met green day it would be so different. i'd just shake. if i was to say anything i'd just ask why they've never played in luxembourg before.
